Modena, a hidden gem! - My husband and I travel to Italy every year. We use VIATOR regularly. Stefania was our guide for MODENA. She was great. We were the only ones with her. She made it seem like we were meeting friends for lunch. She was very informative and took us around as locals. The food was exceptional and the company more so. I would definitely recommend her as a tour guide.

Wonderful Food Tour and Highly Recommended - We had a great tour with Ilaria and enjoyed her expert knowledge of the regional Italian delicacies and the delicious food we ate at the food market, the balsamic vinegar store, and several different restaurants she took us to. Thoroughly recommend Ilaria as an excellent food tour guide.

Dream Tour! - What an amazing tour! Stefania was so incredibly kind, knowledgable and welcoming! I felt so well taken care of, we went to my dream, Bar Tiffany, for the most delicious Gnocco Fritto! I loved the balsamic vinegar tasting, walking through the market and learning about parmigiano reggiano, as well as the fresh tagliatelle with ragu. Stefania answered all my questions, she gave so many fantastic recommendations and shared recipes and stories. A tour of Modena with her is a must!

Great way to spend a hot evening - Had a very pleasant evening eating local food with Ilaria. We tried the balsamic vinegars, cured meats and aperitivo, pasta and gelato. The food was great and it was lovely chatting with Ilaria to learn more about the local cuisine and culture.

A must do tour in Modena! - This tour was amazing! A highlight of our trip and a must do if you are in Modena. We enjoyed our time with Stefania and Mateo! They made this an experience we will always remember!! Thank you both for making the tour so fun and sharing your knowledge of the region and food. The best walking food tour we have done! - We did this tour with Stefania yesterday and it was the best food and highlights walking tour we have done (and we've done a few in many different countries!)
Stefania was so passionate and knowledgeable about the food, history and culture of both Modena and the Emilia Romagna region. She showed us a number of the main cultural highlights of Modena and also told us of other places we could visit after the tour if we had time.
We tasted balsamic vinegar from a local producer and learnt about why this vinegar is so special. We then went to the markets and saw all of the local produce as well as sampling some local wine and meats.
Stefania then took us to a restaurant where we had some delicious pasta with traditional meat ragu.
Unfortunately the tour had to finish, but not before we had some delicious local gelato.
We thoroughly recommend Stefania and her tour of the food and highlights of Modena.

A Great Food Walking Tour in Modena - This was a spectacular guided tour one of the best we have ever been on) as we strolled the streets of Modena, sampling the food and wine of the city/region. Our guide, Stefany, is from Modena and was a font of information about the history, culture, and food of the region. And she was so well-organized, knowledgeable, and entertaining. From explaining to us the various foods/wines she'd arranged for us to sample to the visit with the oldest producer of balsamic vinegar in Modena, our guide made the tour both educational and fun. She really made the effort to connect with us on a personal level, which elevated the entire experience to a different level! And the price is a bargain! We would definitely give this tour two Big Thumbs Up!

Wonderful culinary waling tour with Stefania! - After I short business trip to Pavia, and Bologna, I had one extra day before my flight back home, so I booked a Hili Travel culinary tour, and spent the afternoon with tour guide Stefania around the centre of Modena. Stops included a tasting at the oldest Modena balsamic vinegar producer, learning about "POD" (Original Product Designation) of Parma ham, Parmesan cheeses, and of course with plenty of tasting sessions throughout!
Not only is Stefania so knowledgeable on the history of this region's food production and culinary culture, but she is equally knowledgeable on the history of Italy and this area's development across Reggio Emilia, Modena, and Bologna. Do not miss the chance to book a walking tour with Stefania. Modena is a great city to visit with plenty to explore on your own, but do yourself a favour and book a walking tour Stefanie at Hili Travel!
