Chan Chan - Chan Chan was the capital city of the Chimu Empire (1000 AD – 1470 AD) and was designated a World Heritage Site in 1986.
The city comprises nine large ceremonial and administrative complexes, which also served as mausoleums for the Chimú rulers. During the visit, explore the restored Nik An complex, offering insight into the power structure of the city. Visit its ceremonial square, fish and poultry corridor, and administrative sector, all richly decorated with marine motifs, as well as the ceremonial well and royal mausoleum. This visit will transport you back to the era of Chimu grandeur. -
