Don't forget the "Gallettas de Almendra" - Definitely a trip worth taking while in Malaga. Luis was an awesome tour guide and spoke equally in English & German. Very safe trip!!

A fabulous day out - Everything was really well organised. Our guide was really entertaining and knowledgeable and spoke fluent English and German. Caminito del Rey is a very beautiful place and well worth a visit. We were given a receiver and headphones so that we could all hear the guide as we walked the path. There are toilets at the start and end of the tour, and at the end there are a few places to buy food and drink.

Bring lots of little... - Bring lots of little snacks to have on the way. Get in a group with the earbuds and radios, because the tour guide you can really hear that way and it's the best way to go

Spectacular. - Such a wonderful experience walking the El Carminito Del Rey (The King's Little Path); a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. All the half day tours and direct tickets were sold out so we managed to book a full day tour with Aloratur via GetYourGuide that included a visit to Alora (an Andalucian white village), Tapas lunch and Carminito for £56 so a bit of a bargain. I thought this was good value given the circumstances. This was cheaper than a one-way taxi ride to Carminito. You can get public transport (train + shuttle bus + walk) but it's a bit long-winded and you risk losing your pre-booked slot if you're late. Tickets sell out well in advance so worth thinking about if planning a visit. Pick-up was at 9:15 from C. Héroe de Sostoa (next to bus stop) in front of Málaga María Zambrano Train Station. After a morning visiting the white village (with a very steep climb to the Castle and old church), followed by a tapas lunch, we arrived at Carminito by 1:30pm. We were given a string bag with water, a snack and had a toilet stop before being issued mandatory helmets. We had Alex as our guide, he was fantastically enthusiastic and so passionate that it was easy to listen to his fun facts. The trail is a linear, one-way route of 7.7-kilometer (4.8-mile) and includes suspended walkways 100 metres up, mountain paths, the Gaitanejo gorge, the Tajo de las Palomas canyon, and the hanging bridge, Puente del Rey.  Described as the "world's most dangerous walkway" due to the number of deaths (worth looking up how it looked before they made it safer in 2015, pretty shocking), you do still have to be careful and there are strict rules you have to follow. As you complete your walk over the hanging bridge, it's another 15 minutes or so to the exit where you will find a picnic area and some kiosks where you can pick-up snacks and souvenirs. We arrived back at the drop-off point around 7:30pm absolutely exhausted but so exhilarated from the experience. Highly recommend the experience.

Fabulous Experience! - We were picked up in the centre of Malaga, and driven by coach to the starting point of El Caminito del Rey. The main guide gave a talk during the journey (1 hour) about why and how the walkway was built which was very informative. He also had rain ponchos available as, unfortunately, it was forecast and lots of people didn't bring a coat. On arrival, the group were split into two with a guide each and we collected our hard hats before commencing the walk. The walk is predominantly flat although there are steps both up and down in several places. The narrow path is made up of a man-made timber boardwalk hanging on the side of the cliffs over the gorge. It is spectacular, completely safe and a really exciting experience. The trip was well organised and despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed it and are already planning to return with friends. Top-notch coach driver, top-notch guides, top-notch experience!

Great walk in the canyon - I had a very nice time with the group and the guide who explained to us the history of the Caminito del Rei and the area. We started at 9.30 from Malaga and after one hour we reached the path. We walked for about two hours and a half across the path built in the canyon. It's a nice and secure walk. They provided water and a helmet. As it rained, it was possible to buy a poncho for 2.50€. no umbrella are allowed. At the end of the path, we had a rest and grabbed something to eat in the small shops. We were back to Malaga around 15.30h. I highly recommend it.

Exhilarating experience - Incredible. Breathtaking views. It was an exhilarating day. Lots of walking, make sure everyone in your oarty is up for it. There are opportunities for food, it doesn’t say this anywhere, so we were wondering if we should pack food.
