Epic Snorkeling - My daughter and I had an amazing experience snorkeling at Shigira Beach with our guide Mayu. She was organized and attentive. We saw beautiful fish, coral and a sea turtle. Mayu made sure everyone had pictures in the water and of the marine life. Mayu’s care, instruction and positive energy made this experience a highlight of our Miyako trip.

Meet the turtles - It was an amazing experience! The weather was great, we could see beautiful marine animals, especially turtles. Miyako is very nice and smiling, she explained the security rules and took great pictures of us.

An unforgettable snorkeling tour in Miyako Jima - Attending the snorkeling tour was an unforgettable experience. The water was incredibly clear, and I admired the shaped fish and the beautiful coral reefs. The guide was very friendly and helped everyone, including me who was a beginner, to feel safe and comfortable. The highlight was a moment of swimming with a sea turtle, and it felt like a dream. Everything from the equipment to the photography was well prepared, and I sincerely thank you for your warm hospitality and professional guidance. Thanks to this tour, the trip to Miyakojima became even more special, and I would definitely like to participate again.

Snorkeling at Shigira Beach -Miyakojia with Marine Turle - Wonderful snorkeling experience which I’d like to recommend to everyone visiting Miyakojima. Even though we started late afternoon with gloomy weather, the sea water at shigira beach is transparent enough to see through the coral reef, clownfish and marine turtle. After arriving Shigira beach, the coach gave out the wetsuit, life vest, fins, etc. in my size. The coach would pull a life ring behind, so the visitors can follow the coach by holding the handler on the ring without losing too much energy. The coach will guide to find the coral reef. Later, we look for marine turtles. Though the late afternoon is not the best time to meet the turtle, we were lucky to find one having its seaweed dinner. The coach took photographs for the visitors through the whole journey and shared for free. I would also recommend to choose Adventure Pipi for the snorkeling activity. Pick-up and drop-off service are inclusive, which is quite necessary in this island with very limited public transportation service. The coach can speak in English which add extra assurance on my safety for a foreigner not understanding Japanese. Note there is no washroom nearby the beach, which is the only inconvenience of the spot.

Miyakojima snorkelling adventure - We were a little apprehensive as we had seen a lot of lion fish the day prior to this tour, and we had been told that a guide in English wouldn't be available. However on the day we were led by Iigo San, who had excellent English. He was patient with us being a little nervous (there was a little girl in our group who was more brave than us 😂). Iigo San showed us lots of colourful fish and we were lucky enough to see a sea turtle. He got some excellent photos for us too. Of course there's no guarantee you'll see any wildlife but I feel like they'll try their best to find it for you. Because we found the sea turtle immediately, or maybe because we were being so timid and scared 😂, the tour ended a little quicker than I expected. Still great value for money though!

Unforgettable Snorkeling Adventure with Sea Turtles and Vibrant Marine Life! - We had an amazing time snorkeling with sea turtles! We saw a few turtles up close, along with tons of beautiful fish, including Nemo! The coral reefs were breathtaking and full of vibrant life. Our guide was incredible—very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They explained everything thoroughly, making us feel comfortable and confident in the water. On top of that, they took some incredible photos to capture the experience. Highly recommend this adventure for anyone looking for a memorable snorkeling trip!

Miyako on a sunny day, the sea - The shallows were a bit murky, but we could see both turtles and beautiful fish! The guides were also very nice. Next time I want to dive! It also conveyed my desire to protect the coral.
