Enchanting Coastal Town - My wife and I had a truly wonderful time exploring Miura with MIURA ZEN TRAIL! We were staying in Tokyo, but we wanted to experience a different side of Japan. Miura is only a short train ride from Shinagawa station and delivered exactly that! When we arrived, our guide brought us to the local market where we enjoyed the freshest seafood of our lives and were able to sample many local specialties. After that we visited Kainan Shrine, and our guide explained the rich history of this area and its connection to important figures in Japanese history. We stopped at many other place, and everywhere we went during our visit our guide was sure to share interesting facts and history with us while showing us spots that we would never have found on our own. Additionally, her warm and bright personality helped us feel comfortable, as if we were being shown around Miura by an good friend. She also took many wonderful pictures for us! Even though we only spent one day in Miura, it has become a special place for us, and one that we feel like we have a strong connection to now. It is a beautiful town, full of friendly people, gorgeous coastline, enchanting historical streets, and genuinely some of the best food we have ever tasted! This is a very special experience, and we could not have asked for a better guide. If you ever stay in Tokyo, please visit!
