Terakoya NINJA’s Tea Ceremony Experience provides an interactive introduction to the traditional tea ceremony. With a rich history spanning centuries, the tea ceremony began in samurai culture and was once regarded as the pinnacle of entertainment. Skilled tea masters will instruct and lead you through the unique utensils and etiquette involved in the tea ceremony as you participate. The tour lasts about 60 minutes.

This highly sought-after tea ceremony experience allows participants to savor matcha green tea and wagashi (Japanese sweets) crafted by a master teishu dressed in a kimono. The session is held in a genuine 24-mat tatami room and lasts for a minimum of 60 minutes. Guidance is available in both English and Japanese. Please note that kimono rental is not included in the price. However, a traditional Oshima Tsumugi haori (kimono jacket) is available as an optional item. If wearing a kimono is desired, kindly inform us when making your reservation. Additional information will be sent via email.
