- We went out with Jeremiah. He was very helpful and informative. It was a perfect evening for kayaking to bird island and we were able to see the flamingos. Yes flamingos, not spoonbillls. Then after an awesome sunset and a little break on land we were in awe of the magnificent bioluminescent waters. We did also have manatees come near us and see other birds. Great tour I would highly recommend.

Great experience! - We did the sunset tour with Florida Adventurer. This is the second bioluminescence kayak tour we have done. The first time we did a night trip with a different company and this tour was so much better. Terrence and Matthew were our guides and they were fantastic. This tour was MUCH smaller than the one we did with the other company so it was much more personal and enjoyable. Terrence took pictures of everyone and sent them to us after the tour. Very nice thing to do! Also, since this was the sunset tour we saw much more wildlife: manatees, dolphins, alligators, and a raccoon foraging on the shore. And we saw the bioluminescence at the end and could see the fish swimming through the water. It was vey cool. We would definitely recommend Florida Adventurer if you are thinking about doing one of these kayak tours.

Once in a lifetime experience - We had a private tour with Zac and he was awesome! We got up close to some manatees, dolphins, and fish. The sunset was beautiful and the bioluminescence was amazing. Would definitely do it again and recommend going to anyone!

Worth it! - It was an awesome tour! Zack was personable and so knowledgeable about the wildlife. We saw numerous dolphins, jellyfish, birds, and some of the plankton. Tried to visit the manatees, but they weren’t haven’t it lol! Will definitely be back during August next time, as that’s when the plankton are most abundant! My son and I had a great time!

An evening kayak with a unique experience. - We enjoyed our trip. There were 12 kayaks (including the 2 guide kayaks) of us from what appeared to be different experience levels. All of the kayaks were tandem and you were paired up to fill each one so if you have an odd number in your group you will be paired with someone from another group. We had a positive experience with this as well. The guide was informative with the bioluminescence & it was a unique experience to see. It was a 2nd trip doing this for 2 in our party & they stated with their 1st trip they were able to do a few more things with that guide group. It was a fun time & I would recommend it. We even drove almost 3hrs across the state to do it. BRING BUG SPRAY & wear light weight clothes that you are okay getting wet. There were portapotties at the launch site.

Nope. Don’t do it. - First, let me begin by saying my friend and I were SUPER excited about experiencing this. It is about an hour from Merritt Island on a wildlife preserve. It was easy to find and the hosts were fantastic. And the water did, in fact glow with the fungi that make this possible. However, I would never, ever EVER do this again unless I had on a full body hazmat, air conditioned suit. I wore leggings, a T-shirt and water shoes. As soon as I got out of the vehicle, I was swarmed with thousands of tiny, black, angry, mosquitoes. You literally FELT each bite that these demonic blood suckers did. They bit me THROUGH MY CLOTHES. you felt them land on you, bite you, and buzz in your ears. They bit every single part of my body. Hence, three days later I am still suffering with tremendous itch. Pain and an overall foul attitude because of this experience. And yes, for those wondering I did have plenty of mosquito repellent to no avail (others around us used DEET and were still getting bit) And no, I would not recommend this outing to any adult and ESPECIALLY children unless you want to put up with their incessant complaining about the ITCH. To end this horrifying ordeal, this brief description provided was all BEFORE we got in the kyack for 90 minutes where we continued to be tortured. I should have listened to my friend and immediately left the premises and drove the hour back home. Do. Not. Do. It.

No refunds even if THEY cancel your tour! - Beware! Florida weather caused our tour to be canceled, safety first. This company will NOT refund your money. They have hundreds of dollars in a rain check for me. My family of 8 will likely never be in Florida again.

Worst Experience. Concerned for Safety! - Worst experience ever! BUYER BE AWARE, YOUR SAFETY IS AT RISK WITH THIS COMPANY! Please do not book with them. We arrived at 6pm for our 6:30 tour. It was heavily raining with thunderstorms, our car was slipping due to the heavy rain. We tried calling multiple numbers since 5:30 to get ahold of the company because we were worried about our safety. Once we got there we spoke to the tour guide who mentioned visibility and weather is not safe and we would receive a refund. When I called the company the next day they refused to give us a refund stating the rains cleared at 6:50ish and we should have waited for the storm to pass. This company goes against its policy and safety of customers. It should be reported. The owner also comes on here to harass reviewers.
