Great experience - We, a family of 5, went on the bioluminescent kayak tour last night. You definitely feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. We were concerned that we weren’t in the right area because there wasn’t any sign of life for a while. Luckily when we got to the destination we finally saw others. We checked in and waited til it was time to go over the safety rules. We were glad we had bug spray because the mosquitos were awful. Once we got in the boats they barely bothered us. Our guide was great! I wish I remembered his name. He was informative and funny which is a great combo. We saw fish jumping out of the water. Lots of jelly fish. I even held one. And the bioluminescence was great! We were concerned because you couldn’t see it immediately but once we paddled out a little ways it really popped. We would definitely recommend doing this.

Great excursion while on our Daytona vacation - The Sunday we were supposed to go on the tour the weather was terrible and they worked with us to get it rescheduled for later in the week. We went Wednesday night, Brian was our tour guide, and he was fantastic. He knew a lot about the area and The environment. He also showed us cone jellyfish that were bioluminescent as well. It was a really great time and would recommend it to all.

Phenomenal Kayak Tour for Everyone - Fantastic tour led by Freedom. Well organized, great equipment, safety focused, and extremely friendly. Freedom was focused on ensuring everyone's needs were met while delivering educational background of bioluminescence. This was 2nd tour with Florida Adventurer and would highly recommend.

Have to apply bug spray... - Have to apply bug spray or wear long shirts and pants. Stars were amazing. We felt we would have preferred more paddling and less floating. View of cape on water was cool.

Unique experience - Javier and JJ were amazing guides, very organized, knowledgeable about the bioluminescent plankton and jellies, and able to control the chaos of a large group of both young and inexperienced attendees. They successfully guided us to comb jellies and dinoflagellates. However, I would say both the size of the tour and the low age restrictions are detrimental to both guides and attendees. With so many kayaks out (12) it was hard to hear the guides instructions and information. Also, the young children were either frightened or overly excited causing lots of yelling and some crying. On top of that, people who say they have experience kayaking obviously did not, so smaller groups would be easier for guides to help those who needed it and let all enjoy the information given. I find it hard to recommend this trip because of you're an experienced kayaker it was frustrating and I would tell someone it would be easier to do it alone, and if you're inexperienced you should have more assistance. Again, Javier and JJ were amazing at handling what was booked for them.

Low bioluminescence - The expectation was very high according to the photos they put up, however it was not possible to see even 10% of algae, although I understand that it is a nature issue if I think the Enterprise should be realistic in saying that we will find so much, since they go every day to the place and know if there is a good amount of algae, or if on the contrary there is almost nothing, as happened yesterday. The guide went far ahead of the group on several occasions, so we were left behind, and being a night experience the idea was that we would stick together.
