Additional Information

Rated one of the Top 10 Experiences in New Zealand.

Join our boutique small boat cruise and experience Milford Sound the “local” way. We limit passenger numbers on all cruises to half of the boats capacity (capacity 150 passengers) to guarantee an uncrowded and much more personal experience.

Let us show you our backyard on this once in a lifetime experience.

Relax with complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits and enjoy the skipper’s live commentary while marvelling at the breath-taking scenery. The smaller size of the vessel enables us to get you up close and personal with the local wildlife like New Zealand Fur Seals, dolphins and the very rare Fiordland Crested Penguin (spring/early summer). A “Glacial Facial” under the Sterling Falls is an experience not to be missed.

Would recommend - The tour operator was very knowledgeable about Milford sounds and ensured that we were able to have a close look at wildlife which we appreciated. The boat was pretty much empty besides a few other tourists so it definitely felt like a boutique experience.

Milford boat trip - Jeff (Cheeky Kiwi) our tour bus driver, gave a well informed commentary during our trip, and his driving was excellent in the icey, foggy conditions. Emma, on the Cruise Milford boat, was very helpful, informative and cheerful. Thanks for the trip.

Incredible! - What an incredible day to remember! Our guide Hannah was so knowledgeable and made the trip so worth it - she shared lots of facts, stories and fun to make it memorable, special and engaging, and it was obvious that she was very experienced at this tour but also knew so much about NZ and it’s rich cultural history. The scenery was also beautiful! Great bus and boat and itinerary too! HIGHLY recommend this if travelling solo!

Great guide! Super day out! - The trip from Te Anau was very pleasant. Our driver/guide, Sacha (Sasha?), was friendly, knowledgeable, considerate, and outgoing. She stopped a number of times for us to see the sights, take pictures, play with the keas, and so on. Because she lives in the area and is an active outdoors adventurer, she could give us lots of information about the local trails and her recommendations for great things to do or places to eat. The cruise itself was stunning -- the boat (as advertised) was certainly not overcrowded with warm tea or coffee (with biscuits) to help keep us warm. First rate adventure -- would do it again with this company in a heartbeat!

Amazing boat cruise - Was able to get really close to the waterfalls. We also had dolphins swimming with the boat for a lot of the journey. Really great cruise, would 100% recommend!

Cruise Milford is the best - Firstly a huge thank you to the lady at reception for your kind and thoughtful gesture as we checked in. (First name began with R) This cruise was wonderful. Using a smaller boat with less people allowed us to just relax into the journey without scrambling for vantage points and get up close to the waterfalls. Brad and Brooke were delightful to be around.
