MSC Excursion to Portofino - It was a beautiful day with sunshine in January. We took the 50 minute bus trip from the Genoa port to Camogli. we stopped outside the city and walked down for about 20 minutes to the port in Camolgi. We had about one hour to visit shops and sight see. We then board a bot to Portofino, quite crowded with 6 bus full of tourists on the one boat. We sat in the stern to get some better pictures, everyone rushed to the top deck. We traveled along the coast and slowed down to see Abbazia di San Fruttuoso. We did not stop and went on to Portofino. Everyone had 2 hours to sight see, we decided for a lunch along the water. After that, we took the boat to Santa Margherita Ligure. Again about 45 minutes of sightseeing and then the 50 minute trip back to the boat by bus.

Norwegian cruise to Genoa - The rickshaw driver was excellent. Touring Columbus house was an event. The historical stories of church of Magdalena was fascinating. He took us to eat delicacies like farinata, that is a must and crave it forever

If u can stand the drive, worth the visit - These day trips are a great way to see more of Italy. Nice walking tour of Genoa followed by a visit to Santa Margarita for lunch and boat ride/visit to Portofino. It’s an all day trip, so be prepared for about 5 hours total bus time.

Wonderful adventure in Italy - Each stop gave great memories there was always something exciting to see. Our guide Elizabeth was AWESOME very knowledgable and kept the group on track. It was a nice break from the bus to take a boat across Lake Como. Her English was perfect.

A journey to the past.... well planned - The entire trip was well organized. Tour guide "Monica" from Zani Viaggi (tour operator, Milan) was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and Jovial. The tour covered right tourist spots, The experience of navigating narrow alleys in Genoa, a historical city and the port, was memorable. Got to know the origin of Strauss-Levi's jeans. Santa Margarita, beach town is a beautiful place one must visit. Visiting and seeing House of Columbus, took us to the adventurous past when sea transport was the only medium to connect the rest of the world. Portofino is a small and crowded place flocked by tourists around the world. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Genoa & Portofino - We had a great day trip. Pick up was smooth and the bus ride was pleasant. Less time in Genoa and more time in Portofino would have been preferred.

Ok - Portofino & St Margherita are lovely. But only had one hour in each. Tour time had too much time allocated in Genoa. itinerary should reduce Genoa to one hour and allow more time for the others. Couldn't even look around in St M if you had lunch.

Long time in travel to Portafino - Andres the guide was good. What we did not enjoy was having to take the public bus to Portafino but that was out of his control. Bc of that we had a long wait until our group got back and we got back 2 hours late.
