A great way to experience Athens! - Was such a great experience and our guide George did a really great job navigating us through all the highlights that Athens had to offer, making sure we were staying one step ahead of the tour groups, answering our questions, and telling us about the history behind the places he took us to.

Amazing - Three distinct cultures are present in these ruins covering the 6th through the 2nd centuries BC. Of course some sites are better thsn others but the myths and stories are so interesting. Best if done with a guide as the signage is not that informative.

Recommend going with guided tour - Good tour - glad I went on the guided tour and didn't just 'walk around'. Really interesting history. You are given earpieces, so you can hear your guide. You are instructed to get to the booth early, yes, you probably do need to get there at least 30 minutes before. I was in low season, still quite a few people. Checking in seemed a bit chaotic. Credit card machine not charged, lots of 'tickets' issued ! A sticker for which group you are in, a boarding pass for the boat, another one (not sure what for !), and a 3 part ticket, which turns out you need one part for the return trip (don't know what the other 2 parts were for? ). And then the ticket issuer gives a list of instructions ... all delivered really quickly, but one of which is that there is no shop on the island, so take water. There are bathrooms on the island at the visitor centre. When you get to the island, the tour guide goes around asking if you have a ticket. We all answered 'yes' ... (we had lots of tickets !) .....but apparently we needed another 'ticket' for entry to the island. This is what the €20 was for. We were instructed to pay €20 cash on checking in ... (for entry ticket to island). Some people seemed to be paying it by credit card though ? Think the ticketing / check in process could be streamlined .... maybe it will get more sorted as the season gets underway !!

Great Tour and Guide - Our tour to Delos was fantastic. Our tour guide Amarillys (spelling) was wonderful and informative. We got to see so much of the island and learned a great deal about the site, as well as other historical information. Just as a helpful hint, remember to bring cash for the entry to the site and museum that is paid separately at the ferry. We would highly recommend this tour.

Gita Delo - Wonderful!!!!! Must see, organized very well with a super valid guide in Italian. The only flaw perhaps, the unhelpful staff of Mikonos' agency,

The tour of Delos was... - The tour of Delos was really good and I would recommend. The lower rating is due to the last minute increase in cost for entry into Delos. I did read the prior reviews that mention the fee was not optional as advertised and you must pay in Euros, but it was 15 mins before the cancellation window closed when we were told the amount changed to 20 euros per person. We had set aside the listed 12 euros per person and had to scramble to find more euros. The increase in fee could/should have been communicated to us earlier and the posting should not state optional for the archaeological site fee. Also, when we got to the Old Mykonos Port there was a ticket booth with no one in it or directions to proceed to the ticket booth on the other side of the port. Luckily others were going for a tour and we made it to the other side in time to catch the ferry. Once we got to Delos things got better and the tour was really good. The whispers did not work so our guide made sure to wait for the entire group before starting any discussion and spoke loudly for us all to hear. She handled the situation very well and was accommodating for all in the group.

Dear for the service received - We chose the half-day evening package with the guided tour in English + transfer from the hotel to the meeting point Tickets for the museum are not included in the base fare (allow 20€ in cash per person). Pros: - Clear communication before the excursion Cons: – The guided tour rather good but lacks enthusiasm from the guide - The audio guides a little average with poor microphone quality (the island is very windy, and you could hear more the sound of the wind than the guide at times) - The museum is fine but little time to properly discover it after the guided tour For enthusiasts of Greek mythology, the guided tour is to be done. For the others, a little documentation before, and with the explanatory panels on site, one can understand without problem. In the must-sees of Mykonos to do (rather in the evening for sunset)

Honest review of Delos Trip - I believe Delos is a beautiful island to visit filled with history and beautiful archaeological sites. However if you take a trip to Delos I recommend a guide so you can better understand the history. We didn't get a guide so it wasn't as exiting for us as we didn't understand a lot of what we saw. There are a lot of things to see but we didn't get to see everything. There is also a museum which is quite interesting. It's very windy on this island so I recommend wearing some layers. Moreover, the boat trip was really quick and fun, especially if you sit outside and get a view of the sea.

Far too expensive for what it is! - 80€ per person for the guided tour + boat but surprise, another 20€ per person for the site to pay + without being able to buy water after 4 hours under the sun!
