Jameson Distillery Midleton - Located in Midleton, around a 15-minute drive from the city of Cork visitors begin by watching an informative video that will introduce you to the story of Jameson who has been producing Irish whiskey for more than 240 years. Next take a walk through the old distillery in the company of an expert guide. Enter a 19th-century warehouse, which has been carefully restored with original features and now stores casks full of aging whiskey.
Finish up in the Jameson Bar, where all participants will get to take part in a comparative tasting. Learn how to distinguish Jameson from different types of whiskey. Everyone in the tour can then savor a complimentary glass of Jameson or a Jameson-based cocktail.The tour concludes here in the bar, where you can indulge in more whiskey tastings. The Midleton Distillery Experience is a fully guided tour which brings the stories of Jameson’s rich heritage to life. You’ll learn about the hard working people and field-to-glass processes responsible for the whiskey that bears John Jameson’s name. and our portfolio of iconic brands. Learn about the distillation processes and see the old kilns, mills and casks. Gain insight into the ancient art of making whiskey barrels, before finishing up in the Bar, where you can savor a complimentary cocktail. Also includes comparative whiskey tasting.

One of our Favorites! - This tour was definitely one of our favorite highlights of our trip to Ireland. The facilities are well maintained. The history was so interesting. The tastings were well done. (We also did the premium tasting.) The tour guides were knowledgeable and fun! We’d highly recommend it!

Great experience - Connor did a great job with the walking tour and John did a great job with the tasting. I am not a whiskey person, but my husband is and he thought it was wonderful. He loved the whole experience.

A great tour with great whiskey - I've been to many distilleries, and I can honestly say that this tour was top-notch. The building itself is so very interesting. The guide gave good information and answered questions. I really enjoyed being able to sit in the bar afterwards and create our own tastings and enjoy a cocktail. Loved it.

Fun day at the Distillery - Absolutely a thing to do! Neil was our on ground guide and it was an afternoon well spent. Takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. The shop workers are lovely as well and know a thing or two about the whiskey and the city.

Great tour and tasting !!! - Was a great experience and learning how whiskey is produced great insight and to top it off we get to taste a few whiskeys great value. Tour guide was very knowledgeable ,highly recommended!!!!

Great tour and delicious whiskey - The tour was wonderful and our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. The whiskey was delicious and we had so much fun at the bar afterwards trying the signature drinks.

Spirited away - Sophie was at reception when we were checking in for the tour and she let us know from even that point that we were in for a treat. She was not lying, and her next step opened a secret door through an entire wall of brand new whiskey bottles, leading us into the very first tranche of our tour. When our group of around 18 people were then treated to a short intro video, seated on what I personally would like to describe as giant whiskey barrels, it was clear that all stops had been pulled out.
What followed was a stroll through the grounds of the Distillery, old and new. We saw where the process originally took place, getting to see the worlds largest pot still, crossing the 15 acre site where we got to visit a micro-distillery as well as a live maturation warehouse, followed by a sample of some of the better known whiskeys distilled at Midleton.
Sophie was personable and attentive throughout, answering questions and keeping the group interested as she gave us the inside story on the distillery. She even returned to some of the tour members after the official tour, to offer a peak into a room dedicated to some of the rarer bottles of whiskey on site.
The gift shop was very well laid out, with lots of affordable keep sakes and the bar served some very more-ish cocktails.
All in all, a tour I would whole heartedly recommend. Just make sure to book a taxi as the tasting portion is generous to say the least! Ten out of ten.
