Highlights
  • Nikola Estate - Nikola Estate Australia’s second oldest winery offers a scenic venue amidst the historical buildings and lush gardens. There is a range of experiences to enjoy at their cellar door. Forged on tradition while embracing contemporary wine styles Nikola Estate is a must-see!
  • Mandoon Estate - At Mandoon Estate, they love creativity. They love how you can take produce from the estate and region and transform it into something memorable and magical. And they love showing you how their team of winemakers, brewers and chefs do what they do, on our various tours and tasting experiences.

Enjoy wine tasting and lunch!

  • Tyler’s Vineyard - Tyler’s Vineyard is a welcoming, family-run business.
After selling their grapes to well-established wineries in the Swan Valley since 1996, their small vineyard is now producing its own wines.

It is said that great wines begin in the vineyards, and there over 100-year-old Grenache vines prove this. Tyler’s vines were planted over a century ago with the original vineyards of the beautiful Swan Valley.

A quaint little cellar door with rustic charm and farm animals to leave you with a smile on your face and an experience that you will talk about for months.

  • Sin Gin Distillery - Sin Gin Distillery is a nano (this means really small) award-winning distillery that began as a conversation between Kate & Mark at The Murray Hotel in West Perth, Western Australia in 2016 with the first product released in August 2017. In early 2018 Sin Gin entered the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards in Melbourne and won 1 Gold, 3 Silver & 2 Bronze medals; an outstanding performance for this nano distillery in its first year, encouraging them to grow knowing their product was excellent.

Fun-filled trip - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Paul as our driver. He was fabulous, knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a fun filled day taking some great wineries and gin estates.

Thanks Terry - We were initially disappointed it was just the 2 of us, but soon appreciated the personal attention this allowed at each tasting. Terry was an great tour guide and we had an amazing day.

Perfect day with a perfect host - Paul was the ultimate fabulous host. He even cancelled his day off to personally conduct our tour when an unfortunate unavoidable booking error left us otherwise stranded without a host. The tour was lively, entertaining, amusing and thoroughly enjoyable, bringing extra life in spades to an already well planned marvellous experience in the beautiful Swan Valley region. Without hesitation we would recommend this amazing tour as a way to showcase Perth’s hidden gem of a tour. Can we give 6 stars?

Awesome lunch, but overall disappointing tour - This tour was ok but compared to others there were a few obvious missing elements. We didn’t go to a brewery or cidery, which is why I chose this trip as husband can’t drink wine. The first winery was nice but no interest from staff and no winemaker or owner to provide any info about the facility or the wines!!! None. The young girls serving was nice but had no idea. For one of the oldest wineries, the experience was average. Wines were nice. The next winery was ok as well with a few extras things on offer like jams and soaps etc. lots of kids, loud and no interest fro. Staff who just lined up four wines for the tasting and walked away. The third venue was a distillery (although didn’t see a distillery) weren’t told anything about it. The lunch was amazing and huge (highlight of the day) and the whisky and gins were nice to taste. Once again our driver just dropped and left us with no info. The final venue was a pretty rough ‘farm’ shed. Could call it rustic with games like cornhole and chooks running around. The owner was o lovely and finally some passion. It was hot and stayed too long. The wines were very ordinary, despite obviously being made with love. Disappointed that the last venue wasn’t a cidery or brewery instead, as advertised. With the hundreds of venues, the last choice was poor. We had a nice day out because we’re had good company. I wouldn’t do this tour again.

Room for improvement - Unfortunately this one just brought no wow factor, it was a little underwhelming at times. When the bus arrived it was a mine spec bus so not very comfortable seats and very cramped. There was no music or ambiance (when we asked for an option to play a playlist or change to some upbeat music or even turn the music up so we could hear it - nothing) and our tour guide was more of a driver than a guide. There was no conversation about the wine region, grape varieties or even much information about the actual wineries we were stopping at, it was literally pick up and drop off. Our second stop was a brewery, we were told this was an “independent” part of the tour, meaning the brewery was not expecting us and we had to pay for tastings, or buy drinks if we wanted them. When arriving at lunch the winery was only expecting 12 people - we were a group of 24 (we discovered this was the case for all bookings) so we had a table/seating and wines etc for 12 not 24 - the food was fantastic, but chaotic for the winery staff as they were blindsided by our numbers. The gin tasting was great, but yet again they were expecting only 12 so there was no set up for 24, which meant waiting for a second table to be set (these incorrect bookings meant waiting and losing time at each venue) we were literally rushed back out of the gin tasting having to throw our drinks back. With each venue expecting a party half the size, we as a group were made to feel the frustration of the staff (understandably they were stressed the moment we arrived) but it made us feel like a burden rather than welcomed - this sits with organisers as they should have managed the bookings appropriately. We had fun because we made fun and friends but this was not facilitated by our “guide”, from a customer experience point of view there is definitely room for much improvement.

The worst experience ever possible - The tour never took place. Tour Operator Unwind Tours never arrived. Told us they didn't have a booking. Trip Advisor are Always excellent in communicating so go figure the Tour Operators response. They have not repaid money's and have accepted no responsibility. We have had wasted expensive accommodation to do this particular tour.
