Great experience. The... - Great experience. The tour guide was very informative and the sites were a great change from the busy streets of Punta Cana. The waterfall was beautiful and the food was fantastic. If you are looking for Dominican nature on the east side of the island, this is a must.

Pack a snack! - We loved Suzie as our guide - she was clearly passionate about what she does and was so funny! We really enjoyed having her. It is a very long day - there isn’t anything they can do about that as the roads are not conducive to driving “fast”. The one thing I wish I had known was that lunch wasn’t going to be served until close to 2:00 - when we ate at 6:30 before we were picked up at our resort, that’s a long time to go without eating for a diabetic. But all in all - really enjoyed it! My favorite was Montana Redonda!

Incredible Experience – A Must-Do Excursion! - This was one of the few excursions I did while visiting Punta Cana, and it completely exceeded my expectations — absolutely unforgettable! Unlike other tours that only picked up from the hotel’s main security gate, this team went above and beyond. When I mentioned that my hotel was being difficult about transport, the organiser personally arranged for me to be picked up right outside my door. That small act of care immediately put my mind at ease, especially as a solo female traveller — I felt safe and supported the entire time. Our guide, Henry, did an amazing job managing a large group, speaking fluently in both Spanish and English so that everyone felt included. We began the adventure with a drive through the countryside, heading into the mountains where the views were just spectacular. There were plenty of photo stops and time to really soak it all in. Next, we visited a stunning waterfall — an absolute highlight! Before that, we had the chance to learn how local coffee and chocolate are made (and yes, we got to taste them!). We toured the charming treehouse hotel, where the warmth and hospitality of the staff truly stood out. At the waterfall, we even used natural clay stones for spa masks — such a unique touch! The day continued with a visit to ancient caves, where we saw historic drawings, followed by a peaceful boat ride through serene waters full of local wildlife. Every moment of this excursion felt meaningful and well thought out. This tour is an unbelievable value for the experience you get. It’s a rich mix of nature, culture, history, and relaxation — all wrapped up in one seamless day. I absolutely loved it, and I know you will too! Highly recommended — especially for solo travellers!

Suzanne the best tour guide - Suzanne is the best tour guide I’ve ever met! From beginning to end, she took amazing care of us. Her storytelling was beautiful and engaging — you could tell she truly loves what she does. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and happy. An absolute star and a real asset to the team. Our experience was wonderful and unforgettable!

This was my favorite... - This was my favorite excursion I did in the DR! It is a little expensive, but it’s a full day of adventures. The mountains, waterfall, and national park are all beautiful. You get to eat some authentic food and see local plants like cacao, pineapple, and sugarcane. There’s also a super tall treehouse near the waterfall that you can go up in. At the national park they take you on a boat through the mangroves and then you walk into a cave where there are indigenous drawings. I wore chacos that were good for walking around and swimming at the waterfall (having some sort of water shoes helps because it is a bit rocky). You can leave your things on the bus if needed when you get off to do something. Prepare for a lot of driving, but our tour guide provided a lot of commentary which was nice and passed the time. They also split us up by language which was helpful.

Excellent experience, I recommend it - A very nice experience to get to know the natural attractions, get to know some villages, enjoy nature, bathe in the waterfall was refreshing, the buffet food rich. Then a wonderful experience, in the Haitian National Park. Sail by boat through the mangroves, enjoying the biodiversity and the sea, recognizing fascinating places, to land in the caves, where once lived the villages tainos. The guide was of quality in every sense, to know thoroughly the culture, natural attractions and biodiversity.

Nice tour by our guide Suzie! - Our guide Suzie was really a party. Mega energetic woman with a lot of humor and knowledge. A long ride in the bus, but super nice to learn more about the Domenican Republic. The food was fat fine. Nice to be able to taste the local coffee and chocolate. Meanwhile, Suzie told us about interesting facts about local life. At the end of the tour we gave her Dutch stroopwafels. If you come to the Dominican Republic as a Dutchman, bring a few extra bags, because she is now addicted;)
