The session begins with a brief introduction to the artist, a short history of murals, and the significance of public art. Participants will then get acquainted with mural materials such as brushes, spray paint, acrylics, and more.
Learn the fundamentals of “underpainting,” and how to use brushes to create distinctive lines and shading. A local artist will provide step-by-step guidance as participants contribute to painting a vibrant community mural in Wynwood, the mural capital of the world.
Expect teamwork, photos, and lots of laughter. The schedule includes 5 minutes for setup, 50 minutes of painting, and 5 minutes for wrapping up with photos to capture the experience.
Tips:
Wear clothes that can become part of the art.
The paint is non-toxic, so it’s safe for skin and hair.
Shoes are optional—focus on comfort and creativity!
