A great day out - We had a great time at the zoo. The enclosures for the animals seem great and more natural than some I have been to. Noe real cage in sight. The zoo is huge and I advise planning what you want to see most as we did not have time to see the whole zoo. An opening time of 9 would help! The highlight for me was the chance to feed a giraffe (my favourite animal) We also enjoyed seeing the Elephants, Tigers, Lions, snakes. The list goes on. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Zoo Miami.

MIAMI ZOO ❤️ - Our first visit to the Miami Zoo. largest and oldest zoo in Florida. It is located at the former Richmond Air Station, in southwestern Miami, in southern metropolitan Miami-Dade County. Visiting the Miami Zoo with a 3-year-old is a magical experience, for him as a child and for us as parents because we enjoy through his eyes, expressions and emotions. We enjoyed the place because of its nature. The rooms are very well designed as well as the zoo in general. It is nice to walk thanks to the trees. The zoo is spacious and accessible, perfect for little ones to explore. There are play areas, a splash, interactive sites with animals, you can feed the birds and the giraffes. The zoo has a wide variety of animals and exhibits, which capture the attention of the little ones. Habitats are well cared for and so are animals. Some tips and advice based on our experience Carry stroller: The zoo is extensive and a stroller will facilitate the tour and allow you to save a few dollars of not having to rent the means of transport they offer at the zoo (3h are around $30 to $54 usd) Hydration and snacks: There are plenty of sitting areas, but it's nice to have water and something to eat on hand. Although the park has a lot of drinkers. Plan the activities: Check the map at the beginning and mark the areas that interest your child the most. Prices: We pay $27 for adults and $24 for Matti, but check for discounts or special days. Bring a change of clothes for the kids. In short, we had a great time, Matteo had a lot of fun, the Miami Zoo offers a fun and educational experience that parents and children will enjoy together.

Nice zoo - Great day, despite multi animal enclosures CLOSED. Didn't understand why? Clean zoo. Easy to navigate

Great zoo if you can walk in the Miami heat! - Great zoo but many attractions were closed. Very big acreage so get your walking shoes out. The gift shop was decent wish they had more Zoo Miami merch. Most items were generic animal print shirts, hats, water bottles, etc. Food and drinks are a bit pricey but that’s a given. We didn’t have time to see the whole zoo because of other plans but spent 3 hours there, so if I’d say it’s definitely a whole day event. Overall it was great seeing the beautiful animals almost a stones throw away. Definitely worth the $25 bucks!

To get rid of money, good opportunity - The zoo is hardly comparable to German or European zoos. Buy animals in the individual enclosures and then the prices are really expensive. It's a huge zoo where you can also get around good time, but not with looking at the animals but with running.

Waste of time and money. - Terrible zoo, such of waste of time and money. There were not animals to see. One sleeping tiger, three sleeping lions. The rest was just cows, goats, and wild pigs from Africa. The zoo was destroyed during a hurricane and it was never renovated. Many areas were in construction. There were no tour guides available. The food was disgusting. Terrible experience. Period. Do not go.
