Conceived by architects Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, Jorge Campuzano, and Rafael Mijares, the structure encircles a central courtyard featuring a pond, crowned by the iconic “Umbrella,” a column with a roof that cascades water like a waterfall. This feature serves as a distinctive emblem of the museum.
