Amazing time with Silvia - Silvia is a fantastic wealth of knowledge about not only food, but Mexico City. She was able to take us to so many places we wouldn’t have gone on our own. She had inspired us to come and explore more of Mexico City!

Great intro to the city! - Luz was a great tour guide. As a local to the area, she knew the best places to take us, and even gave us recommendations for places to shop and dine later. We stopped at several local vendors around the Centro Historico, giving us a glimpse of local life. Luz was very accommodating and enjoyed answering questions about her city. The tour was a lot of walking, so bring comfortable shoes!

A satisfying, stimulating tour - Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the food tour with Luz. It was both fun and informative. She provided interesting historical and social context, and we appreciated her sensitivity to the lives of working people in Mexico. The food sampling was great, and we were so stuffed that we asked to skip one of the stops and had her tour us through the Zocalo instead. We were very satisfied with the experience, in every sense of the word.

Food tour in CDMX - The content of the food tour has the potential to be really good. Needs a little editing. Our guide, Daniel was 30 mins late due to a miscommunication that was no fault of our own. The foods he brought us to were delicious and we enjoyed ourselves. It felt like someone was taking us to their favorite spots. It was good but not impressed.

I’ve done many food tours, this was terrible! - The tour promises 10 tasting and walking by 4 areas of Mexico City. We paid $450 USD we had 1.5 street tacos, 1/4 huarache and one churro. Our guide was totally unprepared. He was wondering aimlessly and asking street vendors where to find things. We did not walk by any of the markets or land marks described in this tour. He literally was lost on what to do. There were 4 in our tour and the other couple were super irritated with his choices. He was supposed to be the host and introduce us to his city and his food. Instead, we were left walk back and forth on same city block. I have done many food tours through Portugal, Argentina, Spain, and Italy. This was the worst. I had to have a conversation with him about how these tours usually are planned. He admitted that this was only his third tour and he normally does hike and bike tours in the mountains. I am equally disappointed with tour operators who have refused to refund my money. As a business owner myself, if you know that your company did not perform to par, you should stand behind your product to make it right. This was so disappointing.

Tacos, tacos, and tacos again - This was a very poor experience. I suffered a Segway accident on a tour earlier in the day. Before the start of the food tour, I reached out to the guide to see if cancelation was possible. I wasn't even sure if I was going to need to cancel, just wanted to see if it was an option. Right away the guide tried to take advantage to get a paid night off. First she said "So I imagine will not make it for the tour later today?" Then she said she can't cancel because it's a two hour drive from her house to the meeting point. Then when I said I would tough it out with my injuries she tried to talk me out of coming by saying "it's a walking tour" (which I obviously already knew) and then when I said fine, she went further to say "approx 4- 4.5 miles in total." Later in the evening she slipped and admitted that she only lives 10 miles from the meeting point and it only takes her 45 minutes to get there. Also I clocked the distance on my apple watch and it was only two miles total...so she basically lied to try to get us to cancel without a refund. As for the tour itself, it was a huge waste of over $400 usd. It was supposed to be ten "tastings" but it was only five stops. She tried to justify that by saying each stop had one food and one drink, bere two of them were water. Also three of the stops were tacos, two of which were El pastor. The other two were churros and baked goods, which would have been fine, but the second stop was churros and milkshakes. We came hungry, naturally, so it was impossible to resist the sweets since the first stop was just one tiny taco...so by the third stop we were pretty much full from the sweets and didn't really enjoy the food after that...or maybe we were just sick of tacos. Also each stop cost her less than 300 pesos, but the total cost of the tour for us was over 7,000 pesos for four people. That means her profit was over 1400 pesos per stop (over $80 usd). I've done two different food tours in Mexico City on previous trips and they both provided a much wider variety of food. There is so much more to Mexican food than tacos so this just felt like an overpriced tourist trap and was very disappointing.

Waste of money and time. Don’t do it. - Our “food tour” started with peanuts, then it got even worse as the tour continued. We went to cheap places to eat tacos all night. Complete waste of money, and time.

$452 for less than $70 in food and drink. - Don't waste your money for 3 variations of a taco and some pastry. Apparently provider counts beverage served at the 5 stops as 5 of the tastings.
