A Culinary Highlight: The Perfect Family Food Adventure - This Mexican Street Tacos cooking class and market tour was an absolute gem of an experience! As a family with grown children, we were searching for an authentic culinary adventure, and this exceeded all expectations. The day began with an eye-opening market tour where we learned about essential street taco ingredients - from selecting the perfect chiles and tomatillos to understanding different cuts of meat. Our guide's knowledge of traditional Mexican ingredients and their passionate explanations made the market visit both educational and fascinating. The hands-on cooking portion was exceptional. We learned the art of making authentic corn tortillas by hand (much harder than it looks!), and mastered the techniques for preparing various street taco fillings. The highlights included: Making fresh salsas from scratch, Preparing marinades for different meats, Learning proper cooking techniques for al pastor, barbacoa, and other classic fillings, Understanding the importance of each garnish and accompaniment. The instructor created such a welcoming environment that it felt like cooking with family. They shared invaluable tips and tricks that you can only learn from someone with deep knowledge of street food traditions. The finale was enjoying our creations together - the most delicious and authentic street tacos we've ever tasted. This class gave us not just recipes, but real skills we can use to recreate these amazing tacos at home.

Superb Street Taco Cooking experience! - Incredible immersive and interactive culinary experience! A very special thanks to chef Pame who is incredibly knowledgeable about the taco culture and history here in Mexico. The experience is part field trip (tortillería and local mercado), part taco filling/salsa/tortilla making lessons, and best of all….eating our creations! Chef Pame and assistant Valentina are friendly and made sure to get to know each of us in our group of 5. Also included in the experience were photos taking by our paparazze Pame and recipes to recreate our tasty delights at home There are many culinary experiences from which to choose here in Mexico City. The Street Tacos Hands-On Cooking Class and Market Tour should be tops on your list.

Fantastic cooking experience! - Fantastic experience learning about food culture and how to make three types of Mexican tacos. Our chef and guide, Pame, was knowledgeable and personable, taking the time to get to know us and answer our questions. The group size was small, which made it fun to learn together. I would definitely recommend the experience!

Mandatory experience for everyone visiting Mexico City! - If you're visiting Mexico City this should be the absolute first thing you do! I did the street taco cooking class and it was one of the highlights of my trip and something I’d recommend to everyone! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth that felt like a big hug. Lorena was an incredible host - kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing her love for the Mexican cuisine. She always made sure we were taken care of during the class and never had an empty glass of water or agua fresca! It didn’t feel like she was working at all, she was simply doing what she loves, and that energy was contagious. The market tour at the start was a really nice as we saw the ingredients and gave inspiration for other places I wanted to check out as Lorena was great at letting us know of the great spots around the area. As I was doing this cooking class on my last day in Mexico City I felt quite sad leaving Mexico City as I’d just gain so much inspiration. I was super impressed by how smoothly the class was run. Everyone had something to do and it all flowed super naturally. Despite coordinating everything, Lorena was very present and engaged. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions, which led to some conversations and you could tell that she really cared! This experience was a great introduction to Mexican culture and a clear reflection of how sweet and generous the people here are. If I had more time in Mexico City, I would have taken another cooking class! I feel confident trying the food we made in the class at home and was happy to get the recipes from the class. Definitely felt like the cooking class was worth my money and even more! Hope to see you again!

Fantastic experience for beginner to intermediate home cooks - The Mexican Street Tacos class was a fantastic way to intimately about local produce, ways to replicate dishes at home, and a bit about Mexico City's food culture. Our guide Netzi was knowledgeable, patient, and led us to confidently prepare the dishes and salsas. The class can probably accommodate super novice cooks (they can do the simpler activities) but I think to get the most out of this experience it'll be best if you're semi-confident with a chef's knife. I'm excited to replicate these tacos and salsas at home, thanks Netzi!

Great fun and now I can make street tacos! - So much fun on all levels. The education, the hands-on, the market tour, the warm hospitality -- my three young adults (age 13, 19, 21) said this was their top three favorite activity on this family trip. Home run!

Amazing cooking class, experience and fiesta - 10/10 cooking class / fiesta, cannot recommend highly enough! Amazing experience, and real lesson on Mexican food, drink and history. Pame was sensational, it was a privilege to learn from somebody who truly loves what they do. I have been to a handful of cooking classes over the years, some at Michelin Star restaurants, and Pame was, by far, the most charismatic and passionate host.

Enriching taco cooking class - Very nice and interesting experience. I learned a lot about Mexican food and how to prepare it. The market tour is very informative and the cooking is very well structured and hands-on. I had a great time with our great teacher and can only recommend this cooking class.
