Vuelo en Globo - I really enjoyed the experience and think it’s worth it. They pick you up from your hotel if it’s in a central location in a private car. The company, Happy Fly, provided excellent service during the balloon flight, and the breakfast had many options, all of which were very good.

Balloon flight for the first time:) - We loved the experience we made our reservation from Panama City because we wanted to spend a different Valentine with a unique experience. The flight was very quiet it feels smooth the elevation as you float in the air you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the pyramids of Teotihuacan is an experience that we would certainly repeat it again thanks to HappyFly and all its team for giving us an unforgettable visit!!!!

Hot Air Balloon Experience with Erika from Happy Fly – Teotihuacán - Our experience with Erika from Happy Fly was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, smooth, and truly unforgettable. Erika was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process, ensuring we felt comfortable and informed. Her staff and team were professional, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. We were picked up from the Ángel de la Independencia in Mexico City, making transportation seamless and stress-free. Upon arrival at the launch site in Teotihuacán, we were greeted with a breathtaking view of the hot air balloons preparing for takeoff. The flight itself was magical—floating above the ancient pyramids at sunrise was a surreal and serene experience. After landing, we continued our adventure with a visit to the Teotihuacán pyramids, followed by a delicious breakfast at Cueva Restaurant, which was included in the package. To top it all off, we enjoyed a Pulque tasting—a fun and authentic way to end the trip before heading back to the city. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I would highly recommend Erika and her team at Happy Fly to anyone looking for an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacán.

Horrible experience. Book elsewhere - I’m going to preface my review with the fact that my sole goal was to do the balloon ride and check it off my bucket list. To my annoyance this package also included a trip to Teotihuacan which I have already been to TWICE, so I had no desire to visit it a third time but I digress. Let me start at the beginning their communication was stellar no complaints about that. They come by to pick me up in a Suburban. There are already 6 people in this SUV. To say that I had the most uncomfortable ride to and from is an understatement. I had to be horribly cramped up in my seat the duration of this trip. I was miserable and they showed no concern for this. That should have been my first sign. The balloon ride was NOT what I had expected. We were packed like sardines in this thing. I thought there would be room to move around and take pictures from all angles. Nope where you were placed is where you stayed the whole excursion. I would have paid more to have a comfortable and enjoyable balloon ride with ample room not this mess. By the way they will try and sell you pictures and videos of your balloon ride excursion. I was all ready to pull the trigger on that but they were exorbitant with their pricing. I don’t know what scam he was pulling but he was NOT getting that money from me so I declined. Afterwards we were taken to a wonderful breakfast. The food, staff and ambience was wonderful. No issues there. We were then presented with a guide who talked us about the cactus and obsidian which is a natural resource in the area. Of course this was followed by a visit to their store. The store was great so many beautiful pieces BUT do NOT make the same mistake I did. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE. For one it is overly priced. Secondly there are a ton of merchants in Teotihuacan selling the exact same items for a fraction of the cost. Speaking of Teotihuacan, that is next on our agenda. We have a tour guide take us there. Again I had been there already twice so I really had no desire to visit this once more. We get there and the tour guide does his presentation. This is where I noticed as I mentioned earlier all the items I bought at the market were on sale for a 1/5th of the price. Needless to say I was annoyed but I let it go. I wanted to go shopping as I have already done this twice. That did not fly. The tour guide insisted I stay with the tour. After the tour ends and we start to board our Suburban for the return trip back to our respective residences. The tour guide tells me that i need to pay him for the tour. That it is not included in this package. First of all I never wanted to go on the tour as I have done this already TWICE. Secondly it would have been much more professional to announce this fee prior to boarding us to go to Teotihuacan. Had I known this I would have stayed shopping outside of Teotihuacan which the group did the tour. Unfortunately for me I had no say in the matter and had to begrudgingly pay the tour guide fee but that was not a nice thing to spring up on your guests. Thankfully this was the end of it and we were on our way back. Or so I thought. After such a horrible day all I wanted was to get home and decompress. Can you believe that the driver ends up dropping me off a few blocks from my hotel with “ is this ok?!?” At that point I was done. No need to prolong my suffering I got out and I walked back to my hotel. I would say if you are interested in doing the balloon ride book another tour company even if you pay more. Asks your questions so that you have no surprises. These guys are too green and really need a few lessons is customer service.
