Excellent booking. ... - Excellent booking. Vendor was great at communicating with us about pickup and providing context for each site that was visited.

Nice tour of colonial cities - Beautiful places are visited and there is some free time to explore on your own. Juan (driver) and Marco (guide) were friendly and flexible. The point of improvement is the classic foray to silver shop and covenant restaurant, which were not bad, but perhaps we could have found better options (which is impossible to check).

A Trip Well Worth the Time - I was a last minute guest who signed up about an hour before pickup. I had deliberated on several trip options the night before and reached out to Viator customer service who promptly replied to my email requests on two different trips, including sending links to sign up. The next morning I signed up, immediately the tour agent contacted me and confirmed my trip. I asked if it were possible, if convenient, to get a pick up at no charge. It was confirmed and they gave me a timeframe. Pickup went smoothly. The trip was in a comfortable van with AC and with 7 other passengers. The entire trip was well done in both Spanish and English. Tour guide was organized and gave historical context to the sites. We had time to shop, stopped for bathroom/snacks (on your own expense) on the way to Cuernavaca. Lunch was late afternoon at a nice restaurant (not included in price). The driver was exceptional. He drove safely and knew the roads well. His skilled driving saved us time on the return to CDMX which was nice after a long day trip. The trip itself was very reasonably priced. Tips not included, and the guide and driver well deserved acknowledgment for a job well done. I will use Viator again for excursions and recommend this trip. There is uphill walking on slick cobblestones and long drive to destinations, so keep in mind.

Beautiful Day! - This excursion was definitely worth taking! Both our driver and our guide, Andres, were very kind and communicative. The drive was long, but we had a quick stop halfway in Cuernavaca, where we enjoyed breakfast and a local church. We arrived in Taxco with a mission to purchase some beautiful silver jewelry, and the stores did not disappoint! The beginning of the tour starts with the usual affiliated store. We listened to a quick story about the store and the silver mines, and were offered a mezcal drink. The group was to have lunch after that, but my friend, daughter and I decided to explore on our own. We went to several silver jewelry stores, saw the magnificent cathedral, and had lunch with a view in a nice restaurant. All in all it was a beautiful day. I would recommend this trip if you are in the market to shop for silver in a picturesque setting.

Good overall but not as advertised - My trip started with being picked up by a tour guide. Quickly we realized that those of us in the van were heading in different directions. I then was told to switch cars when we got to central. I texted the person who organized the tour and asked him what was going on. He said this was the plan all along and acknowledged that should have been communicated. The trip to Cueravera was very quick but nice none the less. When we got to Taxco, it became evident that the others on the tour with me had a bit of a different agenda. They spent so much time talking that we ended up spending a long time at each place. The tour guide quickly picked up on this and led me to the next stop for which I was extremely appreciative. I do wish that there was some guidelines in terms of times in a specific place. It was clear that some of the other guests didn’t pick up on the fact that we had limited time. Overall the ride was great but the plan was not followed. I never got to see how the silver was made which was a part of the trip I was very excited about. The tour guide was truly phenomenal but I think this tour in general needs to tighten up loose ends. Something I do want to note is I articulated the desire to sit toward the front because I have gotten very carsick. Not only did they listen to me, they had me sit in the front. If you go bring cash and snacks!

Bad experience - Take money in coins to pay for taxis, use sunblock and cap or hat, do not buy jewelry in Maestros Artesanos its prices are exorbitant, buy jewelry in the Tianguis, find your favorite restaurant and not the one that your tour guide tells you. The tour guide provided very little information compared to other guides I have met.
