Smooth and pleasant tour - We reserved our tour through Trip Advisor and were immediately contacted by Interliv Travel, the partner company which provided the service. We were picked up at our Airbnb flat punctually at 7:30am and left Mexico City after picking up other fellow travellers. The drive to Cholula and Puebla was smooth with nice Mexican music playing on the background. Our bilingual guide, Julio Cesar, explained details of the tour as we travelled. First, we went to Cholula where we visited the amazing church of Tonanzintla where one finds marvellous indigenous-oriented ceiling and wall decorations. After visiting the main church at the top of the former Aztecan pyramid, we headed for Puebla. We had lunch at a local restaurant and that was the only part of the trip we didn’t like. For our taste, the food left a lot to be desired. After lunch, we visited the church of Santo Domingo and the Cathedral. Then, our guide left us to stroll around on our own for about 90 minutes. We appreciated the opportunity. We left Puebla shortly after 4pm and Carlos, our driver, brought us back to CDMX in his smooth driving style. Along the way, the guid played a wonderful animation film called Coco which magically portrays the feuds and bonds of a Mexican family. The film nicely completed our tour experience. We were dropped off at our place shortly after 6pm and were very happy with the tour. We highly recommend it.

Good introduction to Puebla - Awesome trip, pick up by my hotel. The ride was not bad at all, we had a pit stop and then off to Cholula, we got about an hour to explore the church, wish it was a bit more but in return we got to see La Capilla which was amazing. We got to walk eat and around Puebla. We got an hour of free time and another pit stop on our way back. It was a nice introduction to Puebla. Definitely will go back to further explore. We had Carlos as our guide and Ricardo as our driver. Carlos was informative and respectful of everyone.

Long, but very good. Informative. - Most memorable things: climbing (& it is not so easy) the pyramid/hill to get up to the church in Cholula, seeing the inside of the main church in the town itself (which was beyond ornate and was 'extreme' in the decoration) and walking around Puebla, which was a long walk - around 2 hours I think), but included a late lunch (included) and a very informative tour of the market place and the cathedral.
Nothing negative to say about this trip - just be aware that it is long. Some churches do not allow photography inside and in others, they ask for a voluntary contribution to the upkeep of the church (which you are not forced to give. The view you see of the orange church with the volcano behind was taken with a drone: you cannot actually get to anywhere yourself to take this shot).
A tiring walk and a long day, but enjoyable and very informative. Enough time given to explore and take pictures at the various locations.
Was picked up at my hotel on time (contact was through WhatsApp a couple of days before and I sent them my picture so they knew what I looked like), then walked a small distance to a car which then took me and a couple of others to the bus parked in central Mexico City - and then we went to Cholula and then Puebla.
Highly recommended.

Cholula Puebla Small Group Tour - We started at 8:15 with pre-arranged pickup at our AirBnB which we appreciated. Our driver, Raul, was very pleasant and capable. The drive is close to 2 hours over very bumpy roads. Our group was a set of 10 people who were both Spanish and English speaking. The van had seating for 12 and was a tight fit.
Our guide, Jose Luis, was excellent at explaining the history in both languages and taking us around. The cities of Cholula and Puebla were wonderful and we enjoyed the trip but would make a few recommendations.
1) Make sure to bring water and snacks as none are provided. We didn't end up eating until 3pm
2) The climb to the top of the cathedral in Cholula is not easy and not for everyone.
3) In Puebla, everyone in our group was extremely disappointed with the food at Casa Real Poblana. It is a buffet and had limited offerings and what was offered was not good. It would be better to allow people to find their own food and have some free time and rejoin at a central meeting point.
We arrived back in MXDC around 7:30 and since we were the last drop off didn't get home until 8:30 so a long day

Nice tour - Very comfy van, all perfectly on time, kind team.
Not the most in-depth explanations. They seemed to have changed the schedule a little bit, spontaneously. We still saw great locations, just adressing it would be nice

Puebla, churches and adventure - A beautiful day visiting some stunning churches and wandering Puebla, tour itself was great. Day was long, this isn't becessarily clear on booking.. take extra water and snacks, and be prepared for a bumpy ride, belt required!! (extra bumpy when we were rear ended!). Activities were great. Lunch stop a bit average, not very able to adapt for dietary requirements well. For the cost probably could find better.

Great Tour! - We had a pretty great time as a group, the tour bus came right up to our Airbnb and also dropped us off at the Airbnb. The into was very interesting giving us info on how some of the rituals were made and also how they took some plants and used them to make dyes and other items of clothing. Followed by a liquor tasting and then off to the tour for the Pyramids (or as the guide has corrected us temples). Suzanne the guide was awesome. She was super friendly and knowledgable. At the end they brought us to a restaurant and it was worth it because the food was delish.

Be sure to read before traveling to Cholula and Puebla, Mexico - My husband and I were very excited about this trip, unfortunately it did not turn out as we had hoped. The pickup van was designated as T Zompa Tours--only mention of Viator was a man at the pickup telling us . We got on the van and there were only 3 English speakers out of 10 people. I had booked an English guide. Yes, the guide did speak English, but 90% of the tour was in Spanish, and 10 % in English. I feel that very little of what was told to the other guests was transmitted to us. I feel that if the tour is not all in English than that should be specified before booking.
The lunch spot was fine, but the directions for seeing what was in Puebla were very vague and difficult to locate. However, it is a very lovely village. We would like to spend more time there.
We stopped in Cholula to visit the cathedral that is on top of the pyramid. It was beautiful but to get to the church you must be able to climb to a high altitude with only steps and ramps. The view of the surrounding area is nice as you walk up ! Once you get to the top you must keep climbing to the top of the church. Not for people with any kind of mobility or breathing issues.
