- Turin - The Royal Palace is a magnificent seventeenth-century structure that has undergone various modifications and expansions over the centuries. It still showcases the work of the most prominent artists who were active in Turin. Until 1865, it served as the residence for the Dukes of Savoy, the Kings of Sardinia, and the Kings of Italy. Visitors can explore the royal apartments, which are lavishly decorated and furnished from the seventeenth to the twentieth century, reflecting the tastes of the Savoy sovereigns. Clocks, porcelain, silver, and furnishings, some dating back to the seventeenth century, are on display.
- Turin - Sacra di San Michele is a formidable fortified abbey perched atop a rocky hill. To reach the church, visitors must ascend 150 steps, passing 12th-century sculptures, from the Porta dello Zodiaco, a splendid Romanesque doorway adorned with zodiac signs. On the left side of the interior are 16th-century frescoes depicting New Testament themes; on the right are illustrations of the church’s founding. Please note that some sections of the abbey are open only on weekends, and during busy times, visits may be limited to hour-long tours. Weather permitting, the views from the walls and terraces surrounding the church are breathtaking. If the weather is snowy, access to the Sacra di San Michele is not possible, and the tour guide will suggest an alternative itinerary.
