The local guide will introduce visitors to Turin’s significant role in shaping Italian identity and its rich culinary heritage, influenced by 800 years of Savoyard rule. The tour kicks off at a historic café where participants can savor Bicerin, a traditional chocolate drink that remains popular in 19th-century cafés. As key landmarks are visited, the city’s history will unfold.
Following this, the tour proceeds to a charming venue for a lesson on fine chocolate, featuring exquisite dark chocolate crafted from just 10% of the world’s finest cocoa, all 100% organic and “bean to bar.” Participants will then have the opportunity to sample traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto and Cremino. Gianduiotto, made from finely ground hazelnuts and chocolate, boasts a rich history dating back to the 19th century when cocoa was scarce.
