- Piazza Carignano - Before reaching the grand Piazza Castello, take a leisurely stroll through this historic square, home to the namesake palace.
Palazzo Carignano stands as one of Italy’s most remarkable 17th-century palaces and hosts the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento.
- Piazza Castello - Piazza Castello was the vibrant hub of aristocratic life during the Savoia kingdom era and continues to hold a central place in Turin’s heart. Surrounded by Turin’s distinctive porticoes, the city’s main streets extend from here: via Roma, via Garibaldi, known for its budget-friendly shopping, and via Po, which leads directly to the river of the same name.
- Palazzo Reale Di Torino - A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, it is one of Turin’s most significant buildings. Initially a bishop’s palace, it was redesigned in the late 16th century at the request of Duke Emanuele Filiberto when Turin became the capital of the Savoia dukedom.
Tickets for this are not included in the tour (15€)
- Palazzo Madama Torino - This palace, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses the Civic Museum of Ancient Art. Historically, the site was occupied by the Porta Decumana during the Roman era, serving as the city’s entrance from the Po side. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the gate was transformed into a fortress for defense.
