Excellent Service - It was fantastic not have to worry and being dropped off as close as possible. Everything was well explained. We had plenty of time at each location. Everyone was very nice.

Very interesting and you can see alot in one day! - This experience was very well organised. We visited all three locations in one day, picked up from Naples. The highlight for me was Versuvius, it was a twenty minute walk to the highest point you can get to, although the walk is very steep. The views were amazing across the bay of Naples! You are allocated over one hour at this location, I would recommend using the bathroom before going to Versuvius as being up the side of a volcano there are facilities, but they are lacking. Herculaneum was a small settlement which like Pompeii has been excavated to reveal very well preserved buildings. Personally I found Pompeii to be a more interesting stop, however I do think Herculaneum is well worth the visit. You are allocated about two hours at both of these locations and there are good facilities at both. The tour operators were well organised and made transition between each stop nice and smooth. The buses did have air-condtioning which was needed in the August heat. This is a self-guided tour, although audio-guides were provided at Herculaneum and Pompeii. Overall I would recommend this tour, it is a long day out, but very interesting and you can see alot in one day!

Great tour to fit... - Great tour to fit everything in, in one day. Co’ordinated well at each stop. Only disappointment was, it states in advert that it’s a max of 17 people, but there were 50 on our bus, which can be frustrating when you’re hanging around ticking off all the travellerd

Not for Pompeii - Pompeii is self guided and it makes it an awful experience. The park is poorly marked (it's worse than you'd expect). If you're going to Pompeii, pay for a tour guide. Vesuvius is nice, Herculaneum is ok.

Just OK - It was a lot for one day. The tour-provided audio guide for Herculaneum reference numbers didn’t match the site’s numbers. The names didn’t translate easily either. So I felt like I missed a LOT there.

Vesuvius, Pompei and Herkulanum - Very expensive coach trip , no guide incuded in the price, not enough time for Pompei, and the video guide completely inaccurate for Heraklum as the ruins numbers doesnt match the ones in video guide. In Pompei you will also get an audio guide but you only have to 2hrs to see a massive area so there is no time to use the audio guide as you need to be a bit of experienced in using this device and knowledgeable of the ruins numbers along with the regions numbers in order to use it quickly. The 2 hrs for Pompei are counted from the moment you leave the coach. This includes the time you need for bringing back the audio guide and collecting your document (as you must leave passport or any other legal document in order to get the audio guide and your ticket). Then the Vesuvius staff will ask you to scan a code and leave review for a free gift. The gift value is around €0.50.Generally the idea of the trip is good but not for the price they asked you for .They are aware that you are a tourist so will not make a complain and they can value their products as much as they want. .For 2 people I have paid almost €170 on Tiqets ,where this company sell its trips. A biiit overpriced!

Mamma mia.... - Overall there was poor communication throughout the process. At the starting meeting location there were several groups waiting for a bus and the 2 coordinators did not tell anyone what was going on. The listing says group size of 17 and there were 40 of us on the bus, with narrow seats. We first went to Mt. Vesuvius where there was a mile long steep hike to the top which I don't think was written on the excursion detail. The views were worth the hike of course. We then went to the Herculaneum followed by Pompeii which were self guided tours. At each stop we were given a time to meet back at the bus. The Herculaneum drop off location was strange though as it was several blocks away from the entrance instead of taking us to the bus lot. We did not have nearly enough time at Pompeii to see even the highlights. I think in total we walked 8 miles. Lunch is not provided on the tour but there was a pizza shop next to the tour company place at Pompeii. The bus was late picking us up from Pompeii making the connection back to the cruise port very tight. This excursion is good for those just looking for transportation between these areas.

Don’t book with Viator, they suck and especially don’t book this tour, the company are scam artists - Didn’t turn up. I followed google maps to the meeting point through the Viator app got there 30 mins before they would pick me up and no one turned up. Got a WhatsApp message saying where are you we are leaving now at 9:25am, then got a WhatsApp call, answered and was just this Italian man speaking broken English and yelling, tried to say it’s only 5 minutes past pick up time, I’m sure I’m here, I followed the directions exactly but if I’m at the wrong place please send me your location and I’ll run there or even get a taxi if I have to, shouted something else at me, hung up and wouldn’t answer any of my calls, stood there for another 30 minutes trying to call and message to try sort this out as I desperately didnt want to miss this tour, nothing and I Didn’t get a refund either because they said I didn’t turn up and I said they didn’t, so Viator just said there’s nothing they can do, I’m going to be using GetYourGuide from now on, there customer service help you more and actually believe you but if you continue to use Viator, I wouldn’t book the specific tour, it’s very expensive and if how the treated me as a customer despite what I’d spent or trying to help or figure out what happened at all, just not ok, at this point considering how rude and aggressive they were im guessing the whole thing is a scam, Naples is rough and dangerous as hell, people trying to scam, beg and steal of you everything they can.
