For those visiting with children, a special treasure map will be provided. Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes.
Palmento Visit
Upon returning from the fields, explore our 18th-century Palmento, a traditional Sicilian winery. It is one of the largest and best-preserved in the region, complete with large chestnut wood barrels and a grape pressing machine from 1790. This rare gem is a must-see! Additionally, enjoy stories from our ancestors’ diaries.
Wine Tasting Journey
Conclude the tour with a tasting experience that highlights the contemporary Etna culinary scene. Sample wines from four different wineries around the volcano, each paired with a gourmet bite crafted by our resident chef, Leonardo. End your day relaxing in our courtyard or garden with a view of Etna.

Etna Urban Winery presents a distinctive vineyard tourism experience, nestled in a natural place on Mount Etna amidst the growing city. It’s where we’ve chosen to rejuvenate the age-old family practice of Etna viticulture, which is a contrasting choice in an area experiencing a surge in building and infrastructure development.
Our passion is sparked by an estate that’s been in the family for eight generations, and the objective to prove that alternative land usage is viable even in city outskirts. These suburbs still maintain the distinctive atmosphere of a typical Etna lava field.
You’re invited to meander through the vineyards at your convenience using our self-guided vineyard tour. Take your time to relish in your surroundings, pause at scenic overlooks and learn from the informational signs dotted around the vineyard. Take in the austere feel of our authentic Palmento (historical winery), which dates back to 1790 and remains largely unchanged.
Then, venture into our unique cuisine! Our in-house chef Leonardo is excited to take you on a gastronomic adventure through the four corners of Etna, with four different wines paired with four gourmet nibbles.
