- Messina - Your personal tour leader will pick you up at your accommodation/port in Messina, and you will start your wonderful private travel to the highest active volcano in Europe. Driving by comfortable, air-conditioned car through the small authentic mountain villages, you will admire unforgettable picturesque views of Sicilian countryside full of oranges and lemon plantations, olives and almond trees, houses and churches built of lava stone. Enjoying amazing sea view and lava fields, you will arrive to a charming mountain town, where you will visit local honey store and taste the produce of the fertile volcano land - honey, olive oils, olives, wines and liquors.

Mount Etna - You will continue the ascent to reach the famous Sartorius Craters (1700 mt.). Here you will visit some extinct craters, admire breathtaking panoramas of the coastline and enjoy the most authentic part of Etna.
After visiting Mt. Etna, the guide will chauffeur you in relax to one of the best wineries on Etna slope. At the winery you will have will have a tour of the estate, see how the grape is growing, and visit the cellars, while the expert sommelier explains you all about the wine making process and the history of this family run winery. Then you will have traditional delicious and lunch of locally produced cheeses, salami, prosciutto, fresh bread, olives and home-made olive oil and a typical pasta dish. A professional sommelier will offer you 4 glasses of Sicilian Etna red and white wines. After the tour, your guide will drop you off at your accommodation or port in Messina.

Amazing tour at Mt Etna, winery! Not to be missed - We had a wonderful time on a half day tour of Mt Etna and visiting a beautiful winery on the volcano with Prestelli in June 2024! Our guide was so nice and very knowledgeable. We saw so much and loved it- it was completely first class and a great experience. I recommend Prestelli to everyone and look forward to booking again with these great people on our next trip to Sicily!

A great Taste of Sicily - Visit to Mt Etna was amazing as was winery tour with tasting and lunch.

Sicily was wonderful! - Marco was wonderful! We throughly enjoyed our tour and learned a lot about Sicily! Loved the vineyard and walking in the mountain! Also enjoyed the stop at a store near My Etna!

Great day in Sicily! - While Mt Etna was interesting, the real star of the show was the vineyard. It was such a beautiful place. Our guide Maurizio was very knowledge and friendly. we really enjoyed seeing the Sicilian countryside. A must do

Best Day of our 10 Day Trip - We booked the private Etna and Winery tour for our cruise ship stop in Messina. This was the best day that we had in our entire 10 day trip. Our guide Alberto picked us up from the cruise port and took us to taste honey and olive oils. We then went and hiked the craters on Mt Etna. He is extremely knowledgeable and shared so much about the area with us. Our lunch and wine tasting was amazing! Gorgeous views and great wine. Alberto heard my daughter mention she loved cannoli so he stopped on the way back to port so we could try Sicilian cannoli. It was such an amazing day. My only regret was that we didn't have an empty suitcase to bring home even more wine, honey, and olive oils! We would book this tour again and recommend it to anyone. Others on our cruise ship that had booked tours through other operators were very disappointed. I am so glad we found Prestelli Tours!

Great Wine and Tour - Wow - what a great way to spend the day in Messina. Marco picked us up and provided us with a fun and educational tour. He is a great driver, and really knows his Sicilian history. The winery was amazing, had excellent wine, great food and great service.

Wine tour - We had a terrific day of wine tasting at three different locations picked out by our guide Maurizio. His efforts to make our experience memorable surpassed any expectations one could have, and his connections opened up doors not normally available for a wine loving group. He is highly recommended!

Phenomenal day! - Such a personal and beautiful experience. We went to a family owned vineyard that was just stunning with a delicious meal. Icing on the cake was our tour guide, Sergio, who was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The volcano is a must see and I hope when we return we can spend more time in Taormina.

OK but not great - Long drive to Mt. Etna and then visit was very short. Our guide/driver was a bit inflexible and we just had to put our foot down just fit in a little more of a walk. We found the day a bit boring. I think there is a lot to do at Mt. Etna and we missed out.
