Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud - Merzouga (08h driving)

Merzouga Desert - At 08:00 AM, the operator will pick guests up from their hotel and set off for Merzouga, traversing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. This mountain range stretches 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northwest of Morocco.

Along the journey, the tour will pass through towns like Ifrane, often referred to as the “Moroccan Switzerland” due to its unique house architecture and status as a premier ski destination in the country, and Azrou, a renowned Berber city in Morocco. The route will cross the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges, passing through towns such as Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud, the tour will take a desert road leading to Merzouga. Depending on the arrival time, there may be an opportunity for a camel ride to witness the sunset, followed by an overnight stay in tents near the dunes. Dinner and accommodation are included.

Merzouga - Gorges of the Todra - City of Roses - Ouarzazate (Approx. 05h driving)

Musee Theatre Memoire de Ouarzazate - Witnessing the sunrise in the desert is a must-see experience. On the return journey to Ouarzazate, the tour will pass through Rissani and Tafilalet, the birthplace of the Alaoui dynasty and former capital of the Alaoui sultans. The next stop is the Gorges of Todra, where the valley can be admired from the hill, followed by the Dades Valley. Leaving the Dades Valley along the “Thousand Kasbahs” route, the tour will pass through the stunning Valley of Roses, known for its rose cultivation, and reach the palm grove of Skoura. The day concludes in Ouarzazate, where guests will spend the night.

Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech (Approx. 05h driving)

Jemaa el-Fnaa - After breakfast, the tour departs Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most famous fortified cities globally, known for its appearances in films like Gladiator. Guests will explore the kasbah’s ruins to uncover its secrets. Continuing along the route, the tour will cross a valley of almond trees and the Berber villages of Amerzgane, Agouim, and Ighrem. The journey crosses the Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka pass, 2,260 meters high, with a stop for lunch in Tadart, another Berber village. After lunch, the tour resumes the journey to Marrakech. Services conclude with drop-off at Djemaa el Fna Square or as close as possible to the guests’ accommodation, whenever feasible. Please note that if accommodations are in a Riad within the medina, direct drop-off at the door is not possible. If a cart is needed to reach the Riad, there is an additional cost of €2 to €5, payable by the client.
