Sunset in the dunes - Organized, kind and cheerful. Nice ride on the dunes with spectacular sunset. Great Berber dinner and singing around the campfire. The tent is really large and equipped with every comfort. Super experience!

Sahara Like a Nomad - Youssef and his crew organized a magical camping trip in the Sahara. Treked out by camel with Hassan, and Mohammed conjured up and an amazing meal at the campsite. An evening by the fire watching the stars and a great nights sleep in a cozy tent. Brilliant experience. If you are not up for the sleeping out in the desert Youssef also has luxury desert tents with stunning views of the dunes.

Wonderful! - Great experience! The alley and the camel return were simply magical! The guides were very friendly, welcoming and we were able to have interesting conversations about the local culture together. The meals (evening and lunch) were a real delight! We all slept very well and the facilities were beautiful. Many thanks for this amazing experience that I highly recommend!

a surreal expedition - The experience was surreal ! The camel trip, the songs and dances around the fire... stories times too ! It felt really authentic, and the welcoming was amazing. They were really accommodating with our food restrictions, cooked on site. I wish I planned for more days of farniente, reading a book in the sun and calm of the desert. Highly recommend

A magical night in the desert - We traveled for 2 weeks by car through Morocco going to Marrakech, Fez, Chefchaouen, Ifrane, Rabat, Ouarzazate, Casablanca but I would have to say the highlight of the trip was this camel trek in Merzouga. From beginning to end everything was impeccable. The guides were friendly and helpful. Accommodations were super comfortable, spacious, clean and smartly decorated. The camp was well thought out and we even did some boarding down the dunes. Food was tasty, they played music and drums, the stars filled the sky and it was a night and experience to remember a lifetime!

Truly Amazing Camel Riding Experience - Youssef and Mustafa were fantastic hosts and this experience went far beyond our expectations. They were very genuine in taking care of all our needs and worked around the clock to attend to us. From the moment we arrived, they were waiting for us and guided us to the location, where we were then picked up by car and driven to the camel riding site. We rode for around an hour with our guide stopping many times to take pictures and videos for us. Once we arrived at the camp, Mustafa and Youssef were there to greet us again. Mustafa took us to sand-board and also took many photos for us. Then it was dinner time and the food and portion sizes were incredible. After dinner we were joined at the fire to sing and dance, which was the concluding activity of the day. The next day we watched the sunrise in the dessert, had breakfast, and then rode the camels back to our meeting point. This experience was exactly as described and had zero hidden fees. Overall, our hosts were very friendly, kind, and genuine people, who curated this fantastic experience for us. I cannot recommend this enough. If you’re still contemplating whether to book this experience, don’t look back and you won’t regret it. The price when we booked also seemed too good to be true but it wasn’t. 10/10.

Inauthentic - I don’t even know where to start but I would never do it again nor recommend it to anyone else. First of all the camels are treated horribly (kicked, beaten, leg tied up over night) and I felt horrible the whole ride using another living being for my amusement. Second, the whole trip feels like a school trip with a strict program where everyone tries too hard to make you happy. When on the camel you are getting animated to cheer, „sandboarding“ is sliding down a small dune once, and you are getting called for dinner. Later for the berber drums they animate you to dance and everyone was just really really awkward - no room for campfire atmosphere to develop naturally. Last, the overall quality of everything is not even great. The food is mediocre at best, breakfast is 90% bought cake and the camp itself is a mix between all the downsides of camping and a bad hotel. Of course it’s nice to sleep in a proper tent and have a bed when camping but you don’t get a sheet between the linen and the blankets and because the tent is quite big it gets cold easily (own sleeping bag recommend). Washroom was ok but there was only one out of three toilets open which was clocked eventually 🤢. Also be aware that it’s only a couple of dunes and that you are not camping in the middle of a desert - you are out of the sand again once you reach the camp. Overall, I can’t understand the great recommendations here because the inauthenticity paired with animal cruelty didn’t do it for me and I was glad once we reached our car again the next day
