Highlights

Marrakesh > Tizi N’Tichka > Ait ben haddou > Ouarzazate > Dades Gorges

Tizi n Tichka - A high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.260m (7,410ft) above the sea level, located in the High Atlas mountains, At the summit you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. As the road begins to make its way down to Ouarzazate, you will be able to marvel at pre-Sahara regions that lie dry and motionless and the silent peaks of the great Atlas Mountains.

Ait Ben Haddou - a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture. An extraordinary set of buildings offering a complete panorama of construction techniques in pre-Saharan land. The oldest buildings do not seem to be prior to the 17th century, although their structure and technique spread very early in the valleys of southern Morocco. The

Taourirt Kasbah - Set among a background of stunning mountain scenery and the Sahara Desert, the Kasbah Taourirt is one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco. In past, it was a strategic location controlled by the Glaoui for the Saharan Caravan Route to West Africa. While Taourirt acted as the main Glaoui residence, it did not house the main Glaoui chiefs. Instead, it housed the second tier of command, such as the dynasty’s sons, servants, cousins, builders and craftsmen.

Dades Gorges - Dades valley is a small but utterly spectacular version of the Grand Canyon! Its sheer mountain walls and fantastic geological rock formations add to its uniqueness and splendour, especially when the sun is shining and the sky is clear blue. The region is very known for its mountains weird shape called locally the Monkeys fingers.

HIGLY RELIABLE WITH EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION! - We booked this tour and are extremely happy with MA Traveling company for their communications and coordination. MA Traveling provided us information on WhatsApp before the trip and even during. They answered questions very quickly regardless of the time. The tour itself was very nice. The tour had 3 options (basic, medium or luxury). We had booked the basic but later upgraded to luxury. The only differences between them are the food quality and the lodging quality. There were 11 of passengers in a mini-van that took this tour. The tour stopped nearly every 2 hours for a small break (bathrooms, which mostly you had to pay to use) and coffee breaks. Our driver was an excellent driver (it is not easy driving in Morocco and specially in the mountains). He allowed us to play our music while driving. His English was not the best but still good enough to get the point across. Our best memory of this trip were (1) spending one night in a village in the mountain on the way to the desert (name of the hotel is Citadelle Gorges) and (2) Our stay in the desert (at Nomad Luxury) where Hashim was our host and was so nice! We were the only 2 guest there and we got treated so well. We had a 1 hour and 45 min camel ride to the camp and saw the sunset in the desert. On the way back, we took the 4x4 instead of the camel ride. Overall, this tour is really great and is and excellent price for what you get which includes many miles of driving. The drive from the desert to Fez alone was over 9 hours! We are very happy with MA Traveling specially after having had a very bad experience with another Moroccan tour company which we had booked through Viator.

Well organised and gorgeous views - This trip was brilliant and well organised. We got to witness places and experiences in Morocco that we would never have been able to on our own. I am a vegetarian and my dietary restrictions were always remembered and catered for. You get to see absolutely incredible views and the accomodation on both nights was very comfortable. It was a lot of driving and lot of things were packed into the three day trip but that was expected considering the distance being covered! Would recommend especially if its your first time in Morocco.

I recommend it but with caution - Overall experience was great but at many times along the way we were rushed, dismissed, underfed, misinformed or just not given any clear directions whatsoever. We felt unprepared/underprepared or confused for much of the time. If you have dietary restrictions be prepared to advocate for yourself at every meal time. I recommend it still. Overall great experience considering the price, but the organization and planning was poor. Some of the guides were totally wonderful and lovely. The camp was very nice. Glad we got to see so much in such a short time. Sahara was unforgettable. I recommend the sandboarding!

Sahara Desert is good but tour guide at ait ben haddou is disaster - the description of tour guide at ait ben haddou is optional but finally it was mandatory to join the tour guide . and this local tour guide was the worst I ever met. here it said 3euros are for tour guide fee. but he told us 3euros are the entrance fee of ait ben haddou and then he asked for some more for guide fee. and also he mainly focus on selling things to us , there is no 2 hours we spent in the ait ben haddou. i think maximum we only spent only nearly 1 hour. and there is only 10mins free time to go to the top of the town, we need to run fast and it is absolutely not enjoyable. furthermore, when we went back to the ground floor I asked if we can go to the front gate to have some photos as that view is very famous and classic but he said no, it is too rush as we were leaving to have lunch. and he even blamed me why not telling him from the beginning as we already walked to the other side of ait ben haddou. but actually the distance is not so far i think it is within 15mins walk. i told him i dont mind to shoter my lunch time or i skip the lunch at restaurant. then he said no i dont know how to go to the restaurant liked we were 6years old... honestly I felt so offended as this is tour guide's job to make tourists know where to see and what is interesting to visit but he skipped it and blamed on us. then after we left, we didn't go to restaurant immediately , he bought us to a shop to SELL the scarves for nearly half an hour when he said we were in rush.... so if they insist you to join the guide tour at ait ben haddou, try your best to skip it. he made a very bad experience about this tour . I mean I traveled for more than 12hours flight from my home town, I want to enjoy the sightseeing that I love but not only doing his business. and it should be only once in my lifetime to visit ait ben haddou but he ruined it. however, sahara desert worths to go. the sunrise is amazing even we were unlikely to see the sunset because of the dusty sky. but still very remarkable. and the drivers and other local tour guide are generally good too, especially luckily we had a well-organized driver.
