A must do! - Absolutely lovely experience! We saw parts of Merida we would have never found and learned so much from our guide, Diego. Our home chef was so wonderful with her instructions and we really appreciated the air conditioned kitchen. They were both so kind and such great company.

Great market tour and cooking class in Merida - Me and my boyfriend very much enjoyed the experience. Laura, who was our tour guide, was a great guide showing us around an interesting market, where we were able to taste and buy ingredients for the lunch. She explained everything around super well, we learned a lot. Afterwards we went to the „Mums“ house which also was a wonderful experience. She was welcoming us warmly and we cooked different things all very tasty. Our tour guide Laura was always with us luckily for translation very important.
Would totally recommend this!

Market and fabulous cooking classes - Superb experience with Gisèle our guide and interpreter. A big thank you for making us discover the little wonders of the market. Many thanks to Berta, our chef, who opened the doors of her cada and taught us so many delicious dishes. Cannot choose our favorite! A complete experience and beautiful encounters!!

Great experience - Shopping in the market and cooking at Dorcas’ house were both memorable. Who knew that so much of the cuisine of the Yucatán revolves around pumpkin seeds?

Must do local experience - Very special experience. The cooking was better than high end restaurants and very authentic. Highly recommended for a more local experience with people that actually live here. It was very special.

The nicest experience in mexico this far - A private tour with Laura to the market to buy the food. She explained a lot and knew all the people from the market. The cooking with Bertha and her family was also very nice in a relaxt athmosphere. She let us help with cutting and mixing (prakken!). In the meantime i could learn some more spanish with her. Lovely people and would do this trip again.

Bought the ingredients we Needed. We went to Bertha her house. Bertha is a wonderful woman who helped us cooking the most tasty things. Bertha and Laura are a good couple. We had a Great day.

You have to do this tour while you are in Merida! - We absolutely loved this tour! Laura, our guide was fantastic. After meeting us, she walked us to the local marketplace where she explained everything about the ingredients for the food we would make. Our home-based cooking teacher was marvelous. She showed us how to prepare and cook our meals, then we all sat down to enjoy our work. What an amazing experience. We would recommend this to anyone who visits Merida!

Definitely recommend! - It was a wonderfull experience and I recommend this tour 100%. It’s so interesting to see the market and get a taste of typical fruits, spices and sweets. Gisell is a great guide and offers so many interesting facts and is eager to answer your questions. We cooked the food at Leo‘s house and she was warm and welcoming and a great cook. The food was delicious!
