Excellent walking tour!! Highly recommend!! - This walking tour was absolutely amazing!
I highly recommend anyone who might want to learn more about Mèrida and the Yucatan Peninsula to take this tour!!
I was surprised, yet very thankful that I ended up doing this tour alone with Shirley (Duck) . She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and spent time answering all of my questions.
I loved the locations we explored, as well as her segment about the traditional dishes in the Yucatan. That way I knew what to eat while I was in the area.
I suggest doing this tour when you first arrive to Mèrida so you have more of an insight during your trip.
My only regret is that I couldn’t stay in that area for a longer period of time to participate in more of the activities that Mike and Duck have to offer!!

Fun, informative overview of Merida. - Great tour of key sites in the
historical center of Merida. Shirley shared information about history and culture and we learned fun facts about each place we saw. I would
highly recommend this tour if you want an overview of the city.

Shirley and Mike were the most wonderful guides and hosts whilst we were in Merida. - Do not hesitate to book if you are looking to learn about Merida. Shirley and Mike made the tour so special and we had smiles on our faces the entire time. They really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and have fun whilst learning all about the wonderful city of Merida, we can only say good things and a huge thank you to them both. The best tour we’ve ever ever done. Highly recommend!

Mike and Shirley are Awesome! - Shirley and Mike were fantastic guides full of knowledge they were eager to share with our group. We walked around the historical center of town and visited a couple museums. We learned about local lore and history of the area and the people that make up this beautiful city.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to gain more insight of the history of central Merida.

What an AMAZING experience! Mike and Shirley were extremely knowledgeable of the history of Merida and the Yucatán peninsula, bringing the modern day tourist excursion to a whole new level of understanding and appreciation! Perfect Introduction to Merida - The city walk with Shirley was one of my favorite experiences in Merida. I am incredibly glad that I booked the tour at the start of my trip, as it ended up being a great introduction to the city, landmarks, and parks that I might not have discovered on my own. As a solo travel, I really value the knowledge that a local can provide to make the most use of my time. Shirley was incredibly kind, funny, and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. It was the perfect balance of fun and learning. And, I got to meet Mike (of Mike & Duck) who was a great addition to the tour. It was fun learning about his Mayan heritage and his life growing up in Merida. Added bonus at the end of the tour was the bag of local candies (yum!) and the shared photos (shout out to Mike for his photography skills!).
This is the perfect way to kick off a visit to Merida.

WONDERFUL Tour !! - This tour was fantastic! The tour started out with some breakfast in an air conditioned restaurant with fresh fruit granola, yogurt, and toast. Then Shirley guided us around Merida explaining all of the amazing buildings and interesting history. There was time for taking pictures and purchasing a few souvenirs. Shirley answered all of our questions and took time to help us feel comfortable. We got to tour beautiful cathedrals and other beautiful buildings around the town square! There’s so much rich history, and beautiful art. At the end of the tour she also gave us a gift bag with authentic Mexican candy! Aside from getting a wonderful tour we feel we also became great friends with Mike and Shirley! This was by far the best tour we’ve ever taken.
