In addition to discussing these significant sites, we’ll also cover cenotes, their importance and formation, Mayan Aluxes, the Equinox, and much more! Personal and urban stories will also be shared.

Excelente!!! - Take this tour!!!. I was fortunate to be able to spend 2+ hours with Shirley and Mike on this tour. They are two of the most delightful, lovely people I have ever met. Knowledgeable and kind.

Perfect Introduction to Merida - The city walk with Shirley was one of my favorite experiences in Merida. I am incredibly glad that I booked the tour at the start of my trip, as it ended up being a great introduction to the city, landmarks, and parks that I might not have discovered on my own. As a solo travel, I really value the knowledge that a local can provide to make the most use of my time. Shirley was incredibly kind, funny, and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. It was the perfect balance of fun and learning. And, I got to meet Mike (of Mike & Duck) who was a great addition to the tour. It was fun learning about his Mayan heritage and his life growing up in Merida. Added bonus at the end of the tour was the bag of local candies (yum!) and the shared photos (shout out to Mike for his photography skills!).
This is the perfect way to kick off a visit to Merida.

WONDERFUL Tour !! - This tour was fantastic! The tour started out with some breakfast in an air conditioned restaurant with fresh fruit granola, yogurt, and toast. Then Shirley guided us around Merida explaining all of the amazing buildings and interesting history. There was time for taking pictures and purchasing a few souvenirs. Shirley answered all of our questions and took time to help us feel comfortable. We got to tour beautiful cathedrals and other beautiful buildings around the town square! There’s so much rich history, and beautiful art. At the end of the tour she also gave us a gift bag with authentic Mexican candy! Aside from getting a wonderful tour we feel we also became great friends with Mike and Shirley! This was by far the best tour we’ve ever taken.

Great experience - Fantastic overall walking tour by Eduardo. He is very knowledgeable with family roots within the region, and this tour covers the major highlights of this beautiful city. The weather was very hot and humid so be sure to wear something light but also covers your skin if you are susceptible to UV light.

Exceptional City Tour Experience with Eduardo! - My friends and I had an incredible city tour in Merida with Eduardo. His wealth of knowledge about the city's history and the Mayan culture truly enriched our experience. Eduardo's friendly demeanor made the tour enjoyable and educational. A highlight of our trip - This tour was amazing, worth at least twice what we paid, and should be a priority for first time visitors to Merida. Eduardo is a very enjoyable person and is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the city and it’s notable buildings. He provided all kinds of interesting information about the Mayan culture and its continued presence through the inquisition to today. He told fun stories and illuminating anecdotes about Merida and its residents and gave us fabulous recommendations for other activities. Additionally he generously offered his assistance with future questions and reservations for the duration of our stay. It thoroughly enhanced our trip! Many thanks!!

A must to city tour! - My Guide Mike is fantastic.He met me early in the morning. We had a delicious healthy breakfast and did walking tour.
The tour was done extremely well with very interesting details, and with a profound knowledge of the area and the history. I really appreciate all of the special touches that Mike put into our short time together. He was a specially kind and sensitive to every need I highly recommend this tour Dr. G.

Informative and fun - Being my first day in Merida, this was a very good introduction to the culture and region. Eduardo is a guide with a lot of wisdom and patience. I was able to take very beautiful photos of churches and very captivating views. Recommended for everyone who wants a clear introduction to Merida.
