With intimate group excursions of a maximum capacity of ten people running from Monday to Saturday, we assure you a deeply engaging, warm, and amicable experience. It’s an ideal choice for pairs, friend circles, and family units.

Yucateca comida - Manuel was very informative and pleasant. He showed us all the iconic dishes of Yucatan He actually shared how the meals were prepared and all the different types of seasonings used. My favorite part was the walk thru the Mercados and the chocolate paleta at the end. It was sweet that he even took pictures along the way. Highly recommend the experience. Definitely worth your time

Fun Food Tour - This tour was fun and cultural. We ate at the local market stalls, which I would not have done alone. Our guide knew exactly where to take us. This tour is for travelers with an open mind and an empty stomach. You will end up stuffed with a better understanding of Mexican food.

Highly recommended tour - It was an amazing tour. The guide was a really cool, friendly, attentive guy and we had a lot of fun during the tour. He had an answer for every question we ask and the food was sooooo special and delicious! It was so exciting to explore the "real local places".
Would highly recommend the tour with him and would love to do it again.

Gastro Food Tour was Awesome! - Marco from Gasteonomica was outstanding! He was knowledgeable and friendly. The local food tastings were amazing. It was not just a little bit, it was lot to eat! I definitely recommend Marco and his experience.

Fun and delicious afternoon - Marcus took a small group of 8 on a neighborhood walk with at least 8 stops for food. We didn’t know there were so many varieties of tacos. It included refreshing non alcoholic drinks to keep us hydrated. Good introduction to Merida.

Full of amazing food and new knowledge - One of the best food tours my wife and I have taken during our travels. Annette (I think that is her name) was wonderful. She was super friendly, knowledgeable and great English (also let us practice our Spanish). Loved having a small group. It was a total of six people plus the guid. We all had a great time even though we did not know each other at the beginning of the tour. Started the tour with Pollo Limon sopa. It was really good. So good, that I had it severla times during the week after the tour. The fresh juice and the options was muy delicioso. I had the pina colada option. The juice was better than anywhere I have had it in the U.S. The taco and tortilla options/ varieties and other food were so good. I was super full at the end. OF course we had to finish with ice cream and fresh mango. Two people had food restrictions and they were taken care of with no issues. I highly recommend this tour.

Great Culinary Experience - The 3 hour Merida Food Walking Tour was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Manuel, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the 8 or 9 different food tastings we enjoyed. He is from Merida and his passion for his hometown and the local cuisine was apparent in his explanations as we tried the different foods during the tour. We visited a couple restaurants and made several stops in 2 different local markets. This was In addition to being supplied 2 large refreshing fruit drinks and concluding the tour with desert. We were provided options at virtually every stop and Manuel provided recommendations. I followed his advice every time and was always happy I did. This was especially true for a Pineapple and Chia drink and a Cactus filled Gordita. The walk was not too taxing considering the hot weather with adequate stops and a good supply of fluids. Manuel also forewarned us on additional toppings when they were available to make sure we experienced the food as it was intended and consumed by the locals. All in all a great experience at a very reasonable price.

Munching with Marcus…. - Marcus was amazing tour guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always ensured everyone was included…..he explained all the food we experienced with incredible enthusiasm…..well worth the time….I highly recommend it….
