an amazing tour - It has been a brutal experience, a VERY complete tour. David is an exceptional guide, we were an English and Spanish speaking group and he was changing languages with ease and a fluidity worth admiring. It has made the whole day tour very enjoyable and enjoyable, and has transmitted to us a lot of knowledge of this incredible and rich culture. Thank you to Johnatan for driving us and bringing us safely, an excellent driver. Friends do not miss this tour! 100% recommended. ✨

Long day trip seeing a selection of Yucatán sights - This was a good introduction to some of the highlights of the Yucatán peninsula. Our tour guide spoke alternately in English and Spanish throughout the day as he told us many things. Only at Chichen Itza did he actually tour with us, for one of the two hours that we were there. At the cenote and at Itzamal, he provided all the info in the van as we traveled, and then we were on our own while we were there. This is certainly an efficient use of the time in the van, but I had questions in all of the locations that only came to mind as I was there, rather than in advance, and I wished for the chance to ask questions in the moment. As well, I felt that asking questions in English might have been challenging. Our guide was welcoming in a professional way but did not seem interested in engaging with any of us in the tour who’d conveying his information. I did appreciate getting to Chichen Itza late in the afternoon because while it was busy, it didn’t feel enormously crowded, and it was definitely less hot than earlier. It’s a lot of time in a van with not a lot of legroom for a tall person, and there was only limited conversation among those of us on the tour that day, so I felt it wasn’t necessarily the best option for a solo traveler.

Great Trio of Sights - Great tour, three great experiences. Seeing the yellow town was cute, but climbing on the Mayan pyramid was awesome. Beautiful cenote on this tour, I’ve seen many, this one is super pretty. Chichen-Itza was a wonder. Such a cool place, bring sunscreen and plenty of water, it’s in the sun.

I’d do a different version of this tour. - Our main guide, Carlos, was great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. But overall the trip felt rushed. I don’t see the point of stopping at Izamal. It didn’t offer much, if anything. The Chichén Itzá experience was fantastic, except for the extraordinarily aggressive vendors selling souvenirs. Some were fun to haggle with, others I just walked away from while they shouted at me. If I did this trip again I’d only do the cenote at Ki Kil and Chichén Itzá. I’d spend more time at each and forget Izamal.

Do not book this tour if you actually want to see Chichen Itza. - Do not book this tour if your main desire is to see Chichen Itza, you essentially spend most of the day in Izamal and the Cenote before being rushed around the archeological site with no time to see even half of it, if that. We were told we would have a whole hour to explore Chichen Itza by ourselves, what we were not told is that even though the site technically closes at 5pm all tourists are encouraged to start leaving at 4:30pm with major parts of the site closed off, therefore giving you about 30 mins to see everything. If you wish to actually experience Chichen Itza my advice would be to break off from the tour group the moment you get inside the gates and meet them at the bus later. Or book an entirely different tour.
