The best option to visit Chichen Itza - You have to choose this tour. They welcome you with your sandwich and coffee. You are the first to arrive in Chichen Itza, if you are a student, retiree, teacher or student you do NOT pay!! The driver is your guide, we went with Don Delio, he is super friendly and correct, he explained all the details of the buildings. Take a blocker and umbrella. The cenote is ma-ra-vi-llo-so, you are in total privacy, which makes you enjoy it more. The food is homemade and delicious. Then we met Izamal, his church and his pyramid. Excellent choice to do the walk with them.

Just perfect! - Magnificent experience! The tour was perfect. Punctual service, very attentive guide, prepared and very discreet. In Chichen Itza we were the first to cross the threshold and the private cenote experience was fantastic! The lunch prepared by the lady was delicious and the visit to Izamal ended the day well. If you want to live a different experience, book this tour!

This small group tour to... - This small group tour to Chichen Itza, a private cenote, and Izamal was truly an unforgettable experience! From the start, our guide Edgar was absolutely fantastic knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. We were a genuinely small group, which made the experience even more personal and comfortable. One of the highlights was being the very first group to enter Chichen Itza, giving us the rare chance to explore the site before the crowds arrived. Edgar’s explanations brought the history to life in such a meaningful way. The cenote stop was equally special. It’s located on private family property, and we had the entire cenote to ourselves a peaceful, authentic moment that felt like a privilege. The family who hosts you is incredibly kind, and the meal they prepare is real, traditional food hands down one of the most authentic dining experiences I’ve had. Worth every penny. A quick note: if you have vertigo or any serious health conditions, I would recommend carefully considering if this trip is the right fit for you. The cenote access, while beautiful, does require some mobility and balance. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend this tour and this company without hesitation. I would gladly book with them again!

Early Chichen Itza tour highly recommended - Taking the early tour to Chichen Itza was a great decision as our guide had already purchased our tickets and we skipped the queues and got in as gates opened. The guide was very good and spoke both English & Spanish. We had about an hour after the 1.5 hour guided tour to explore. We then travelled to a home with a private cenote for a lovely swim and a home cooked meal. We had the cenote to ourselves. It was a very special experience. After lunch we visited Izamal the yellow city and climbed an old pyramid. We had about an hour to explore before we returned to Merida. A great day out. Highly recommend.

Totally Worthwhile Trip! - Hernan was a great guide, got us to the site very early so that we were the second group in line! I appreciated his direct and respectful approach to teaching us about Chichen Itzá. He didn’t do any of the touristy or gimmicky things like clapping or making noise. He did explain the Mayan understanding of their world and how that informed everything we saw. He also allowed us plenty of time to explore on our own. After that we traveled to a local family’s home and explored the Cenote- it truly is unbelievable and worth the trip alone! Then we had a simple yet very delicious lunch- as promised, traditional cochinita pibil and salutes were made, plus a couple extra delights like the family’s own (and better!) version of Tajín. We had 10 people in our group and one other group of about 6 people had lunch at the same time, which still felt intimate and easygoing. We rounded out the trip with a quick stop to Izamal, walking around for an hour. The day went by very fast and even though it was an all-day trip, we weren’t completely worn out by the end! I would recommend (and HAVE recommended) this tour to friends. It truly feels like a local guide with local ties and invests in the community, as opposed to going into someone else’s pockets. Make sure you bring pesos for extra tips and/or souvenirs. It’s worth it!
