This archaeological site is sure to captivate with its Mayan labyrinth, a structure known as “tza tun tzat” (a place where it is easy to get lost), which was used for initiation rituals and as tests for those aspiring to become priests, healers, or other professions. This labyrinth features three levels representing the cosmic levels of the Mayan world: celestial, terrestrial, and underworld. During the visit, from the top of the pyramids, visitors can admire stunning natural landscapes, hills that are actually unexcavated structures, as well as enjoy sculptures, chultunes (underground huts for storing water), arches, entrances, esplanades, cobblestone paths or sacbés, and fantastic ornamental structures.
