The journey will begin in downtown Mérida, heading towards the Celestún Biosphere, a vibrant haven teeming with wildlife, mangroves, and freshwater springs. Upon arrival, a guided boat tour through the estuary will be taken, with the primary aim of observing flamingos in their natural environment. During the tour, various bird species, as well as potential sightings of crocodiles and other wildlife, will be encountered. Following the biosphere exploration, a short drive to Celestún Beach, just 20 minutes away, will be made to savor local cuisine and enjoy the beach club’s amenities. The remainder of the afternoon will be dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment on the stunning Yucatán coast.

Private excursion to Celestun reserve and beach - Our Private excursion to Celestun reserve and beach was very good. The vehicle had AC, was large and comfortable. Our guide Jorge was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and took good care of us. He explained the program every step of the way and knew a lot about nature and the history of the Yucatan. The boat ride was shaded and had 3 stops. The beach club had lunch and changing facilities as well as a few areas to sit in the shade facing the beach.

Best tour ever with Jorge - Totally worth going. Ask for Jorge because he is a biologist and has so many facts and explanations that will make the tour extra special. Order what he does at the restaurant. Delicious fish. Take a good camera.

Great day. - Great day. Didn’t see as many flamingos as we hoped due to the time of year but still saw some. Beach stop was good too. Sergio looked after us well.

Eric was wonderful - My children and I had a wonderful time with our tour guide, Eric! Throughout the entire time, Eric was very accommodating. He was even kind enough to pick us up from our Airbnb, this was very much appreciated! Eric was very personable, with great conversations throughout our ride. He speaks English very well, and provided explanation on all the different bird species. Very knowledgeable guide. You won't go wrong with Eric as your guide.
For the boat tour, is cost 500 pesos per person. This has to be paid in cash, upon arrival and before leaving on the boat. Our tour guide was able to purchase the tickets for us. Key pointers, if your touring during the off seasons, you may have to wait up to 30 minutes or so, for others to arrive to join your party. I believe the company requires 3000 pesos or a party of at least 6 individuals to do the boat tour.
The beach club was extremely nice and secluded. There's a restaurant, where you can order delicious meals and they accept cards as a form of payment. Overall, I rate this tour a 10/10!

Flamingo tour and beach time - It was a perfect day. Being picked up by Sergio in a comfortable air condition suv at 9am was relaxing. He was very informative about the Yucatan, the language and history. The tour of the mangroves was beautiful, the ria is soo big, we saw flamingoes, enjoyed just quietly sitting and observing them, we saw frigates, storks, vultures, cormorants. The drive thru the mangroves was beautiful tunnel was soo interesting, the water was clear and we saw lots of small fish, also the fresh water springs were lovely too. Then off to a beachside restaurant, lords of shade, gorgeous swimming pool and views of the ocean, we swam in the sea and pool. The lunch was delicious, specially the ceviche pescade. Sergio took good care of us, switching between Spanish and English, good driver. We recommend this tour.

Authentic and amazing tour! - Such Amazing tour seeing flamingos and at the beach! Sergio was the best guide ever! He is so knowledgeable and kind and really is so passionate about the experience and of Yucatán! You have to book this tour, it is once in a lifetime, super authentic, and it felt like you’re traveling around with a friend from Mérida! My sister and I loved this experience and would deff book again when we are back! Muchas gracias Sergio Ivan!!

Amazing experience - Bright day at celestun and the beach, we saw flamingos and many types of birds, my favorite part was the mangrove tunnel. The rest of the day at the beach was too relaxing, the food very rich, I highly recommend this experience.

Eric was a wonderful tour... - Eric was a wonderful tour guide. We enjoyed the experience and learned a lot. We highly recommend the tour. The beach was beautiful and felt like a private beach. Eric made sure we had everything we needed and ensured a great experience.
