“Best Trip Ever!” - From the moment we arrived at Andes Vertical, we knew this would be an adventure of a lifetime. Nestled in breathtaking landscapes, the guides and staff went above and beyond to make every detail flawless.
Highlights:
• Stunning Scenery: The views were out of this world — soaring peaks, lush valleys, glacier-fed rivers. Every day offered something new to gasp at.
• Top-Notch Guides: Knowledgeable, passionate, and always safety-first. Their stories about the region’s history and ecology added depth to the journey, while their care made us feel secure and well looked after.
• Perfectly Organized: Logistics were seamless — transport, lodging, meals. Nothing felt rushed or stressful. Each day’s itinerary was balanced — adventure and downtime in just the right proportions.
• Authentic Experiences: More than just trekking or sightseeing. We got to interact with locals, shared meals, learned about their traditions. Those moments made the trip meaningful and memorable.
• Delicious Food & Comfortable Stays: Rustic accommodations had charm and character, yet were comfortable. Meals were hearty, flavorful, often with regional specialties that added to the immersion.

Wonderful scenario - Trail of 5 to 6 hours and a little over 15km with amazing views. Our guide Agustin was very friendly and helpful, in addition to helping us a lot with a problem that one of the people in our group had in her boot right at the beginning of the trail.
Regarding the intensity, despite not having great technical difficulties, the track can be quite exhausting for those who are not used to, with steep rises and descents, in addition to wind and a strong sun.
For those who are willing to exercise, we definitely recommend!

Beautiful scenery - We experienced a beautiful hike with our guide Pablo. Although we found the hike challenging, the surrounding beauty surpassed all expectations.

Well organized and great tour guide! - Very easy to coordinate with a smooth pickup/dropoff. Our guide, Gabriel, was excellent - spoke both English and Spanish very well. He was very informative and matched our pace on the mountain. Hike itself was beautiful. Would definitely recommend Andes Vertical and Gabriel specifically.

Excellent - Pablo was a fantastic guide. He went at a pace that was comfortable for me. This was a tour that I have been planning for years. So glad I was able to complete the trek

A break on one of the most beautiful crossings in the world - It is an expert to cross from Santiago to Mendoza through the Los Libertadores pass. Therefore, it is suggested to plan a little and schedule a picnic at the park entrance platform, where if you are over 60 years old you enter the park for free, otherwise the QR and the whole new way of paying admission to the park, the Acongaua is majestic and if you are not a climber I suggest you at least visit the views from the entrance to the park, the bad thing is that it involves walking a long way to see Mount Aconcagua, therefore from the admission terrace to the park you can appreciate . there are no landfills and one must be careful with their carbon footprint

A wonderful time at Aconcagua - This was a great experience - I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to see Aconcagua. Augustin was a great guide and very friendly. It was a lot of fun to drink mate during the drive to the park and watch the scenery change. The hike was beautiful and well worth the trip!

Unforgettable beautiful hike - A wonderful experience. On time hotel pickup. Matthias as our guide was super friendly and coordinated our day in good english.
The drive to Aconcagua Park was very entertaining due to its many stories to Aconcagua.
Our start was at 2900 m - it is really important not to overestimate his health, because already at the start the air is already thin and then 2.5 h hike are mostly ascending in front of you.
Matthias allowed everyone his pace and gave the faster meeting places to wait for the rest. This made it an individually suitable hike for everyone.
Once at the base camp, every step was worth it: a fantastic view of the Aconcagua and its snow cap. During the well-deserved break you could enjoy the mountains to the fullest. The way back was also wonderful and again everyone could run their pace. A busy day, but it was so worth it and remains unforgettable
I will definitely repeat this trip.
Thanks to Matthias!

A great option, under the right circumstances. - I'll start by saying our guide and driver were great. There were three things I'll call out and were not clear:
1. Part of the description leads you to believe lunch is included. It is NOT. This is clear in the "what's included" section. Viator needs to fix the description. We got confused because of the conflicting information. Our driver stopped in Upsallata and we grabbed lunch there, so no big deal. Just know lunch is not included.
2. We had arranged for a 7:20 pickup time. Turns out we did not get picked up until 8:00. The operator decided last minute on a later start. I would have liked to have known that so we didn't get up at 6:00 am! I suggest you check in with operator the day before and confirm the pickup time to avoid this situation.
3. We did not get to go all the way to basecamp as advertised - only about halfway (1 hour hike each direction). This was because basecamp does not open until Nov 15. I do not know the dates between which you can do full hike and partial hike, but this should be made clear in the listing. If you really want the six hour hike to basecamp (3 hours out and 3 back), make certain you confirm the situation with the tour operator prior to finalizing your booking.
I don't want above to make it sound like we hated the trip. Aconcagua is a bucket list item of mine and I was very happy with the experience. I just wish these three things had been dealt with differently. It was a very enjoyable hike and a great experience. Also, at least for the part we trekked, it was easy going. If you are in reasonable shape, you will not have a problem. It was basically a gravel trail. You are at around 4,500 meters (14,000 feet), so if you are not reasonably fit, the altitude may get to you. But, contrary to other posts, I would not consider this a difficult trail.
One last thing, and this really has little to do with the tour, but I think it is important to mention. We took the bus from Santiago to Mendoza (8 hour bus ride). Then, the next day, we drove about 3 hours back over the same route back to the park - almost all the way back to the Christ the Redeemer tunnel. Then, the following day, we took a driver back to Santiago over the same route again. It was a total of about 22 hours of driving over three days. Just realize all the driving you will do if you do that. I wanted to go through the tunnel and I also wanted to go up over the pass, which is why we drove both ways as opposed to flying. Unfortunately, the pass was closed so that was a bust. Anyway, the point is knowing what I know now, I would have somehow planned this differently, although right now I'm not sure how. Just be prepared for a lot of driving if you try to do what I did. You may want to spend a night in Upsallata if you want to do this trek and avoid some of the driving.
