Once on the Skydeck, be captivated by the sweeping views through the floor-to-ceiling windows that envelop you. Marvel at Melbourne’s Central Business District, the sports precinct, and Port Phillip Bay; on a clear day, your gaze can reach as far as the Dandenong Ranges.
Step through the airlock to venture outside onto ‘The Terrace.’ Feel the wind rush past your ears as you stand 975 feet (300 meters) above the ground. Use the high-powered binoculars for a closer look at the city, and observe ‘The Edge’ as it extends from the building’s side.

- Please note: Melbourne Skydeck open every day of the year, however on Christmas Day and New Years Eve Melbourne Skydeck will close at 5pm instead of the usually 10pm

Incredible City Views - Being able to see Melbourne from all angles was awesome. We even saw a rainbow! They also have a bar/cafe at the top with yummy treats.

Norfolk Island and Tasmania 2026 - We planned on having a few days in Melbourne on our way home to New Zealand from Tasmania.
After wandering around Southbank we decided to do the Skydeck which is located on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower 935feet above the pavement. We chose just the general admission but there are several packages available.
The lift takes just 38 seconds to reach the 88th floor and your ears pop on the way up.
360 degree views of the city and beyond.
There is a licensed cafe and toilets and lots of spots for photos or just sit and admire the view.
You can go outside on to a viewing deck which is fully enclosed with a wire netting.
On other tours you can pay to go out on a glass floor.
Whilst writing this I found out that if you return within 36hours you can upgrade to a night time viewing for just $10 each so we took advantage of it as our hotel was just across the square. The night time viewing is magical, with the city lights.
It's a must do if in Melbourne CBD. A fine day is best and at night with the city lights was amazing.

Great experience - Whisked to the 88th floor in a merger 38 seconds, wow! The views were breathtaking and not very crowded. Wished that I’d thought ahead and videotaped in the elevator on our way down as we passed each floor.

It’ll save your legs. - This view will save a lot of walking if you’d like to see the city from one spot.
Starts at 1200. Well organised, quick to reach the viewing area, great all round views of the city.

View is excellent, except the parking instruction is very confusing. I end up paying over $90 for 1 hour and 4 mins of parking.W - Good experience great view must see

Could be fantastic with better organisation - Had to share the lift with several other families. There were 3 hysterical children who ruined the experience. How cruel to put very young children in this position. I would have loved it if our family of 4 could have been on our own.
