Tommy was our guide/driver today for this tour and he’s was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and so happy and friendly. - Tommy was such a great guide. We learned so much and enjoyed his commentary very much. The gardens were beautiful and this truly was the best way to see it all.

1/2 hour tour was wonderful - Had a wonderful 1/2 hour tour with Eugenie in a golf cart, covering the extensive and vast collection of species from around the world. Eugenie was lovely and I highly recommend this short, informative tour which provides you an overview of the landscape.

fun for the family - we went with our 2 young children with the tour guide/driver Eugenie. She made the tour very entertaining and accessible for kids. it made our kids very interested in botany and generated a million questions! a beautiful ride and a jewell right in the middle of the city. highly recommend.

Really interesting tour of the garden - When visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens Melbourne, riding a bus tour is an absolute must! Tommy shares the stories behind the plants and the garden with great enthusiasm. Awesome tour guide!

Great quick overview of the Botanic Gardens - This was a great way to get a quick overview of the gorgeous gardens before returning to walk around the 38 hectare site. Our guide had a horticulture background and an obvious passion for the plants on site, he was an engaging guide and lovely to everyone on board. A good way to enjoy a garden overview for anyone with access issues, as long as they can manage the one step up into the bus. Best of all, the sound system was a quality one, so we could hear the interpretation clearly.

Touch tank expansion - The touch tank was pretty good but it could be improved. I spoke at great lengths but was ultimately denied adding the crocodile to the touch tank experience :(

A great overview of the gardens (and save your tired feet) - As a local I enjoy bringing visitors to the Botanic Gardens. The Explorer bus (30 mins, $15) is a great way to get an overview of the gardens and save your tired feet. It's my third time taking a friend on this tour, and it's always informative, sharing a range of info about the trees and the gardens themselves. It's a single loop (no hop on and off), and tickets are easily accessible from the Visitor Centre. By arriving around 20 mins early I've usually been able to secure a spot on the next ride (every 30 mins, but don't quote me). If you don't mind the Left/Right instructions being reversed, I recommend the back seat! This time around we had guide Tommy, who was unfailingly friendly and enthusiastic, both to us on the tour and to everyone we passed as we drove around.

Fantastic experience Tommy was great - We had an excellent time on our tour today. We had Tommy as our tour guide and he was fantastic. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He knew about everything to do with the gardens and also answered any questions my father had. We would recommend this to anyone. Was great value for money and a great way to see the gardens. We enjoyed it very much and my dad will talk about this for years to come.
