Enjoyable day. Amazing views - Really cool tour. Views are fantastic and the town of Guadapé is very cute. Cool to see some of Pablo E’s mansions en route to pool/lunch after the climb and stroll around town.

An experience to repeat - We did the Tour of Guatapé with Orion! Our Tour Guide was super cool, making our day very enjoyable! In the morning we went to the Rock of Guatapé, and then to the town. A lovely place. Very nice. To eat we were taken to the Guatapé Reservoir, where we passed Pablo Escobar's house that was bombed. The food place had beautiful views and for after lunch we relaxed in the pool and jacuzzi of the restaurant. We met a lot of people from many countries. A super recommended experience! I would repeat without a doubt!

If you want exclusivity, this is your tour! - Small group, small scale eateries with really good food. Slightly more expensive than perhaps other providers, but that is more than worth it because of the exclusivity. Instead of eating at a roadside restaurant, you eat at a small farm and a very nice hostel with pool to be able to chill out.

Guatape - Did a tour with capture Columbia that was led by tour guide Orion. He was fantastic throughout the whole day and made the experience as good as it could get. Can’t recommend the company and him enough.

Fantastic Guatape tour - I had an amazing experience on the Guatapé tour, thanks to our incredible guide, Vivian! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the trip so much more enjoyable with her insights and enthusiasm. From sharing the history of the region to recommending the best photo spots and local food, she went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time.

The best tour I have had in all my trips, as well as being the best planned and with the best care. - It was a wonderful experience the place is beautiful and the attention we were given was excellent, as well as being very friendly and respectful made us feel like family and made this tour super chevere.
It is also very important to note that our guide Yeral has on our own 6 stars out of 5 in other words his attention and professionalism was great, including that his attitude made the tour even more chevere and more fun, his way of working made the whole group feel like a family.
We will recommend your services enough and continue taking more tours in other parts of Colombia.
100% recommended

Guatape tour - Not as described in the description and very poor, unprofessional guide - We were very disappointed with the Guatape tour. There were a lot of frustrations with the day, but the 2 biggest problems are: 1) the tour did not reflect the description and did not allow us to see or learn about Guatape; 2) the guide provided little to no insight into the area and its history and was unprofessional. Given the price of this tour, it was very disappointing.
The tour description says that we will get the opportunity to learn about the history of Guatape. The guide did not show any understanding or insight into the area, and we learnt nothing at all. Following lunch, we were only given 30 minutes to explore Guatape. This was not enough time to see most of the town, and was not sufficient for a tour that is described as a ‘Guatape tour’.
Secondly, the tour description mentions a tour around the lake. This is potentially really interesting given the controversial history of the dam. However, what we experienced was not this at all. The boat driven by the guide’s apparent boyfriend took us to a very quiet island where we were given 1.5 hours to sit around and swim if we wanted. It does not make any sense that we had so much more time here than we had in Guatape, given the latter was the purpose of the tour. There is absolutely nothing in the description about visiting an island, and I would have preferred to spend this time doing what the tour description said we would: explore the town and learn about the history.
Regarding the guide, she shared only the most basic facts and provided no insight into the area and its history. She was seemingly only interested in enjoying a day with her boyfriend, who was the driver of the boat. Several members of the group noticed and were uncomfortable with their behaviour, including their kissing and flirting throughout the day. It seemed that they were only there to enjoy themselves rather than facilitating a tour, and this was incredibly unprofessional.
Furthermore, the guide seemed intent on making the trip a ‘party trip’ despite nobody seeming interested in this and nobody signing up for this type of trip.
Regarding the food, this element of the day was really poor. We would have benefitted greatly from finding our own place to eat in Guatape. Despite being very clear at the start of the day that 2 members of our group had allergies, there seemed to be no understanding of what this meant. When requesting a lunch that avoided the allergens, the guide simply expressed confusion and said: ‘but you have to eat lunch’. The food we were served in the end was also of a really poorly quality. It was all served cold, and the meat was very dry, it was clear that it was not freshly cooked.
Following this poor experience, we discussed with Capture Colombia. They acknowledged that the tour did not meet their standards and did not align with the description, however did not provide any means of resolving or compensating.
