- Escaleras Electricas De La Comuna 13 - 2) On our following point we’ll get to experience one of the city’s innovated “ELECTRIC ESCALATORS”. One of the primary goals of these projects was to improve accessibility for residents living in the city’s marginalized communities, they help connect these areas to the main public transportation network, making it easier for residents to access jobs, education, and healthcare facilities.
We’ll have a short and leisurely walk around the iconic ROAD-DUCT that interconnects all the neighborhoods on the superior side, which were in constant conflict with each other just a few years ago, and it has become a symbol of Comuna 13’s remarkable metamorphosis, from a place controlled by violence and crime to a thriving and inspiring community.
- Comuna 13 - 3) We’ll start our journey exploring the renowned GRAFFITI ROUTE in the heart of COMUNA 13! We’ll have a walk through its lively streets, charming alleys, and hidden passageways, immersing ourselves in a vibrant world of colors, cultural richness, and fascinating history.
We’ll explore the incredible street art spread out in every corner, each mural telling a unique story that reflects the transformation, love, resilience, unity and cultural divsersity of these local communities.
It’s an inspiring transformation, knowing that these neighborhoods became the most violent in the world, and today they are a symbol of change, even the worst can change with a few opportunities and good intentions.
