Great tour, very touristy area - We did the day trip to Guatape and it made for an interesting excursion. The whole area is very geared for tourists - luckily we went early, but queues and many tour buses soon followed. We hiked up El Penol which was easier than it looked and manageable (COP25k pp payable). Then Guatape which is a lovely town but essentially a living theme park and geared exclusively to tourists; and a boat trip on the lake (COP240k for a private boat trip around 40 mins). Our guide was Jhon and he was great, and gave an excellent tour. The service from Caman Tours was excellent - we pre booked, engaged on WhatsApp, paid cash on the day and had pics sent to us too that Jhon had taken. So if you’re up for the trip, definitely recommend this company.

Guatapé-girls trip! - We had an amazing Guatapé experience!! John was our guide, he was so accommodating, friendly and shared so much info. We did a beautiful boat ride, climbed Guatapé and walked around the colorful town while eating delicious gelato!

A day of adventure and breathtaking views. - This was an excellent tour. William our guide was fantastic. He allowed us to add in enough flexibility to suit our interests and schedule which made this trip perfect. He was very transparent and detailed in his explanations and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Would recommend this trip to anyone who is visiting Medellin - make sure you ask for William if he is available.

It's Hard to Imagine a Better Day Tour - This is as worthwhile a day tour as I can imagine -- right for the price and loaded with fun and sights and food and the beauty of the Antiochian countryside! And if you climb el Peñol you will get your steps in -- whew -- on and if your guide is Camilo then you will miss out on nothing. He is knowledgeable and friendly and flexible and very professional, both in the way he imparts his knowledge and love for Colombia and in his driving. We fed llamas and ate buñuelos and drank cool drinks and saw beautiful paintings -- not to mention the extravagant floral displays built in anticipation of the upcoming flower Féria. The boat ride on the beautiful lake was marred (in our opinion) by the constant top-loud music, but in fairness it seemed as though most people on board were ok with it. Guatapé is colorful and loud and truly beautiful and crowded and obviously very popular. Visitors from all over the world. A fantastic day tour with a terrific guide, Camilo.

Guatapé was Amazing - The tour to Guatapé was incredible, fun, and our tour guide Juan David was excellent. I Highly recommend Juan David because of his professionalism, knowledge, chill demeanor, patience, and overall friendliness.

Beautiful and enriching day for the whole family! - Today was an AMAZING day in Guatape with our guide Joshua and our driver Johnny! They were very attentive and informative, and were flexible to accommodate our group's needs. We learned SO much about the history, culture, and natural resources of beautiful Colombia today. From climbing the Peñol rock, to a guided tour through the colorful and charming town Guatape, to a boat ride, to the stop for delicious almohabanas, to all the engaging conversation along the way, we really felt like we were immersed in a whole new world and really got our money's worth....and more. Our whole family, including our 10 year old and 13 year old, had an absolute blast! We loved it so much that we all booked another tour with Joshua and Johnny tomorrow!
