A wonderful day trip a must do! Joshua was an excellent guide - We thoroughly enjoyed our day on this tour. Our guide Joshua was excellent and friendly. His English was impeccable which was a big help as my Spanish was very basic. Before arriving at the monolith rock we stopped along the way at a llama and alpaca farm. It was such a treat to pet them and also see other animals that were there. At the monolith rock, the area was stunning with spectacular views. While my friend climbed the rock, I did not due to a healthy fear of heights. Once the climb was complete (my friend raved about the spectacular views at the top). Joshua asked if we wanted to participate in any of the other tours in the area. We opted for a private boat tour. We caught the boat at a nearby home where we descended to the water below and met the waiting boat. The tour included details of the various homes (many celebrities and infamous individuals) who lived in the area. It was a beautiful area.
We then visited the town of Guatape which was a colourful and unique place definitely worth the visit. Lots of art shops and restaurants. We had lunch with Joshua (we treated our guide as he was so accommodating to our requests and many questions).
Joshua was helpful in translating if needed in some of the shops. In all a wonderful day, highly recommend this tour company. Thank you Joshua for a great day and memories made!

Excellent day trip! - I can't say enough on how beautiful this area is. The drive to Guatape was very good and the surrounding views are just stunning. We enjoyed all the activities that were included. The views from the rock are amazing. We chose to do this tour because we did another one with Camilo and he is just great to be with all day. Camilo also took us to a great restaurant for a late lunch before we headed back to Medellin. We highly recommend this private tour.

Excellent tour - Another excellent private tour with guide Camilo! We enjoyed visiting the farm and trying the pandebono (Colombian cheese bread) with some coffee before we moved on to the boat ride. After that we went to El Penol and Camilo let us use as much time as we needed. The stairs were easier than expected and the views from the top are amazing. After that we walked through the colorful town and had a delicious late lunch before we headed back to Medellin. Excellent tour and Camilo is the best guide!

Joshua was a great tour... - Joshua was a great tour guide! He took us to the alpaca farm and then drove us to the rock. Views were incredible. Then he took us to guatape and gave us a great tour of the town!
We also did a boat and jet ski tour and he was very helpful in coordinating that.
He was such a nice tour guide!! Everyone should do a tour with Joshua when in Medelllin!

Excellent full day excursion to Guatape - Good tour - Camilo, our guide, was excellent. Tour would be good for family with kids (first stop had llamas, goats, etc - fun to see as an adult, but kids would love it). Boat tour showed off the lake and Escobar’s daughter’s old digs, and then Guatape itself. Moderately active so probably best not to be out too late the night before.

Camantours will treat you right! - Our day trip from Medellin hotel to Guatape was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He managed the schedule around rain showers gave plenty of opportunities for photos and explained many beautiful socalos on the quaint shops and restaurants in the town of Guatape.
Highly recommended.

Interesting excursion but too far by car - The excursion is very interesting, especially the stone of El Peñol and the visit to Guatape, the boat ride is a little poor, our guide, Joshua, has been excellent explaining the story very clearly and with interesting details
