Memories made! - Erika was a total gem! She catered the content and the pace beautifully for our three young kids - everyone felt like they learned and experienced so much. And we were grateful for the ease of it all, especially with an air conditioned car on a hot day.

highly recommend tour with Esteban! - We had an incredible tour with Esoban! He was an amazing guide—knowledgeable, fun, and made the experience truly memorable. He took us to Comuna 13, where we got to explore the vibrant art and shopping district, as well as visit a local fruit market, which was an absolute treat. The flavors were incredible! The cable car ride was another highlight, offering stunning views and a unique perspective of the area. Esoban’s insights and storytelling really brought everything to life, making the tour even more special. We absolutely loved him as a guide and highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and informative experience!

Treat yourself to a diverse and interesting tour of Medellin! - My husband fell sick and I ended up going on a fantastically guided tour with Daniel alone. Daniel was young, energetic, polite and took good care of me. Daniel first took me to the exact site when Pablo Escobar had his last moments. We then took the Cable Car and the construction history of Comuna 13 was explained during the ride. It was unreal to see the massiveness of the place, and how life goes on and so different than where I came from. Apparently, Medellin with a population of 1/4 of Bogota has a more developed public transportation system. Bravo! Walking through Comuna 13 felt a bit strange, as now it has become a popular tourist spot (everything is safe and polished), and only I wish if I could walk through it safely as it is now, 30 yrs ago to feel the authenticity! We finished our tour in Medellin Downtown, where I could see the homeless, street performers, "working ladies", Botero's provocative bronze statues, policemen arresting pick-pocketers, even spoke with a couple young policemen, and the very impressive National Gallery (a must see)! The tour was diverse and interesting. This was my third tour with MedellinDay Trips, and I was very satisfied with the arrangement, communications, and the professional guides (like Daniel whose English was also excellent) we had.

Getting to know Communa 13 - Our guide, Sara, was incredibly knowledgeable and eager to share Medellin’s complex and painful history and gave context to and allowed us to appreciate better our visit to communa 13. The very heavy traffic was an unfortunate, yet, as we understand it, a common place occurrence.

Wonderful experience. Daniel is a great guide - Our tour with Daniel was fabulous and well worth it. He was attentive, clear and knowledgeable and by the end of our time together we had learned so much especially about the unique transport system of Comuna 23 and how it has uplifted the lives of the inhabitants. Also much about the background of the years of violence and unrest in Colombia. The generous fruit tasting sweetened the whole experience. Would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing Experience! - We had an amazing afternoon exploring Comuna 13 with Laura. She was incredibly engaging, kind, and full of information on just about every question we had. I could not recommend Laura more—she is a gem! The history, the sites were a great intro to Medellin, and the fruit tasting was WAY more than we expected. It was well beyond the standard “exotic” fruits you’d expect. Learned so much. Highly recommend!!
