A spectacular tour and next to a cocoa producing family. - Don’t leave Medellin without this experience! A very nice farm, Doña Alicia and Sandra make you feel like part of the family, guide you in the experience of making chocolate from start to finish; show you the beauty of the natural crop, the benefits of the land, open the doors of their house and take home a delicious memory and a very significant experience. Of the best tours, Oscar the guide has a great energy, explains each step of the process and from the moment you get in the van is explaining how you live in Colombia. It was the best birthday present for my friend!

Solo Tour - Yuly my guide was excellent. We had great conversations from the time we met to when we departed. Being the only person on the tour made the experience more memorable from Yuly to the owners of the farm and interacting with them hands on learning the knowledge from the cocoa plant from the seed to the final product chocolate. I recommend this tour to anyway looking for a hands on experience, a local farm and family; also an escape from the crowds.

Great tour, very unique - We had a private tour of the farm, Oscar throughly explained everything and answered all our questions about anything and everything. The family at the farm were lovely and extremely friendly. The experience was extremely unique picking the cacao beans and processing them, we also tried other fruits on the farm. I’d highly recommend the experience to anyone who is interested in the origin of chocolate.

Chocolate is not simple - If you are frightened of heights then you might want to skip the tour of the farm because there are narrow paths on the edge of hills and one narrow bridge that was difficult to cross (they helped me). The whole process of making chocolate was explained (very similar to coffee) and you get to make your own custom chocolate to your specifications. Not bad! Yula is a world traveler and has spent a lot of time in the U.S. and Europe so she was very knowledgeable about cultures outside of Colombia and has plenty of interesting stories and advice to share.
