Fantastic chocolate tour - The chocolate tour was excellent. Especially the nice, knowledgable and proffesional guidance of Sara is very much appreciated. In addition, very nice family who hosted the tour. 5 star rating for this tour and Sara.

Amazing experience - One of the most amazing tours I’ve ever been! Our tour guide was the nicest, profesional and most sincere person: Laura, such an authentic Colombian vibe ❤️ the family farm was another level of authentic, the family so sincere and nice. If you want to learn everything about cocoa and make your own chocolate, experience the lush nature of Colombia, I highly suggest!

Amazing experience - This experience was perfectly organized and genuinely fun. Sara was amazing — she picked us up super early, was always in a great mood, and shared tons of stories and context throughout the visit. The whole tour felt natural, like having a friend show you around and share all the best tips. The chocolate experience was a highlight, especially the walk through the plantation — beautiful and super engaging. I’ll definitely come back with the kids!

A unique and fun trip - The cocoa farm tour was exceptional. Erika was so knowledgeable about Medellin and the local area and was generous in sharing her insights with us throughout the day, so the tour was more than just the farm! The farm itself was beautiful and our whole family really enjoyed the process of picking the cacao, tasting it fresh, and then roasting and making the chocolate. The farm family were so kind and nice too. We really enjoyed the peaceful hot chocolate and cheese bread on their veranda.

Incredible private experience - Awesome!! From pickup to drop off, Laura was an amazing guide. This was the most special day of our trip. The family whose house hosted us could not have been any nicer and more accommodating - the mom, dad, and daughter (plus their dogs!) were so welcoming it felt like we were visiting family. Our 7 & 9 year olds loved every part of it! Bring clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Well worth it.

Made us very happy! - Yuly came to our Airbnb on time and took us to the farm. We were surprised at Yuly's level of English, as she spoke it perfectly and was a great conversationist! The farm was up in the mountains, embedded in nature and was refreshing. The hosts (Sandra and her father) were gracious and passionate to show us everything. Quickly, we learnt how artisanal chocolates are made from scratch (unlike the industrial ones), and we got to made our own. Sadly, our own creation was not as tasty as those sold from the farm (our faults but we are sure practice will make perfection:-))). While we waited for our own chocolates to be ready from the fridge, we were offered with soft sweet bread and hot cacao, and Sandra's daughter showed us her bracelets creation, which made perfect souvenirs! The whole family together with Yuly, were all lovely people (including the dogs), and we were sad when the tour was over. Though we may never return to the farm again, we would not stop recommending this tour to everyone we know heading to Medellin. It was a fantastic experience, locally created and suitable for all ages!

Fantastic tour with Erika - I recently went on a chocolate tour in Medellín, Colombia, led by our fantastic guide, Erika. She was an absolute delight—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about everything chocolate-related. From the history of cacao to the intricate process of making chocolate, Erika brought it all to life with enthusiasm and expertise. She also taught us a lot about the history of Colombia, seamlessly weaving it into the experience. The tour was a perfect blend of fun and education, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Five stars without hesitation!

Erica and our cacao farm experience were amazing!! - This was an incredible tour of a cacao farm, from growing and harvesting the cacao, to tasting it at every stage, including just harvested, after the fermenting period, after roasting, and then the final product, a chocolate bar! Erica, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about cacao, but also generally the history of the region and of Colombia and South America. She took very good care of us as well. She is a very safe driver, and she was early to pick us up and delivered us home exactly on time too. We highly recommend!

Highly recommend! - We’re so glad we did this tour, it was the perfect way to wrap up our stay in Medellin! Sara was an excellent guide — we learned so much during the hour-long drive to the farm as she shared some of Medellin’s history, like how the communas came to be. At the cocoa farm (where the views were breath-taking!), Sara, together with one of the farm’s owners Sandra, taught us not only about cocoa varieties and how chocolate is made, but also the farm’s ecosystems, like the other fruit plants around it, the local birds, etc. Making chocolate (roasting the cocoa nibs, de-husking them, grounding them and creating our own) was fun but the best part was experiencing the hospitality of Sandra, Alicia (another of the farm’s co-owners), and Sara. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
