Jungle Trek Day 1
Gunung Leuser National Park - Embark on an exciting overnight trek in Gunung Leuser National Park, the most favored way to explore and truly immerse in the tropical rainforest of North Sumatra. This two-day trek takes you deeper into the jungle, offering excellent opportunities to observe orangutans and various other wildlife up close in their natural environment. On the first day, the group departs around 9 am, trekking through the jungle for 6-7 hours, with numerous breaks for meals, drinks, and fruit. There will be ample chances to capture stunning photos of the wildlife and scenery encountered. Arrival at the camp is expected between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm, where participants can enjoy the beautiful surroundings or take a swim. Dinner, prepared by a private chef, will be served at the camp around 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. After dinner, jungle tea will be served, and everyone can choose to spend the evening sharing stories or playing games.
Jungle Trek Day 2
Gunung Leuser National Park - Awaken to the delightful sounds of the jungle, such as monkeys and birds, and enjoy tea or coffee with biscuits. A hearty breakfast will prepare everyone for the second day of jungle trekking, which includes exploring waterfalls and rivers. After enjoying lunch and fruit, participants will board the traditional jungle “taxi” and experience rafting down the Bohorok River. The adventure concludes with a return to Bukit Lawang, where participants will be dropped off at their accommodation.
